I've got 10k miles left on my lease, so I'm not interested in spending on expensive tires. Just a set that can get me the 10k miles to the end and have enough treadwear left so I'm not dinged on return.

Enter the
Achilles Desert Hawk HT3 Highway 225/55R19 99V SUV/Crossover Tire

Who names a tire brand Achilles? I've logged 500 miles on these so far and can confirm they are quiet and stable. V rated so you can go up to 150mph (if you wanted to)

I get nothing for sharing this, just thought I would in case there are fellow leasing folks that just want the cheapest acceptable tire they can get.

I surprised that any tire shop would put a load rating 99 tire on a Mach-e. That is dangerous and way below spec. Most concerning is that reviews say the tire has a weak sidewall which the Mach-e is going to eat up.

This is why I don’t trust used cars. Like house flippers. Put the cheapest most dangerous bandaid on the problem and let the next guy’s family take the hit. It would be better to take the hit at the end. I hope they notice the incorrect tires and charge you 5x more.

A weak heel in this case
Some might even say it's the Achilles' heel!

In all seriousness, DO NOT FOLLOW SUIT on this advice. Tires for the MME are $240 apiece, minimum, from a reputable retailer. By now, you should know (and enjoy) the MME's handling and performance capabilities. That translates to what kind of things the tire has to bear to maintain grip on the road. That is something you do not want to fail.

I think you or the @Administrator should delete this thread entirely because it is providing advice that adversely impacts safety.
