Must be a slow news day. What’s everyone so concerned about? I’m collecting updates, warranty issues, CSPs, alignments, etc and making one trip to the dealership. You’ll be notified with 1 or 2 more recalls by the time the fix for this is available.
Not concerned lol I was just saying that the dealership reached out and tried to schedule a time. I didn't think they had the updates available yet like what people were posting, so that's why I told the dealership they should confirm that it's even available for my car.

yes, but like many here mentioned (including a guy who is known to work for Ford), fix is not available yet and the dealers are likely very confused ??‍♂

Bluecruise 1.6 is rumored to drive your Ford straight to the dealer every night for recalls and repairs.
As an EAP member, I can't speak to the veracity of this rumor, but I will point out that some Lincoln dealers are also authorized to do Ford repairs. ;)

My local Ford dealer works on various makes...including doing work for the local Chevy dealer because they don't have any mechanics, apparently.

Well there you go, they can't read...
Tech came out today, sat in his truck for awhile and then knocked on my door to show me this exact screen on PTS. Oh well - didn't cost me any time or inconvenience. We'll see when the fix rolls out for the rest of us.

First for me - My local dealer called just a bit ago wanting to schedule this recall update via Mobile Service. Didn't even realize they offered mobile service.

I confused the nice lady very much when I told her that I'm a bit more up and up on things and as far as I'm away, no update for this recall is available on '21-'24s. She assured me that it was, but I declined to schedule anything.

Dealer reached back to me saying Ford delayed the updates (aka they finally realized it wasn't available for my car yet) so they'll schedule it for later.

So I literally just got an email from my dealer to schedule mobile service to get this software update for the recall fixed on my 2024. I double checked and verified with them that it was for the powertrain control module 25S65 recall. They verified it and told me the software fix has been out since June 27 and that it takes about an hour to hour and a half for mobile service to complete. So either my dealer is scheduling a fake fix for a recall that doesn’t exist or some in this forum need to stop being so cocky with their (if we haven’t heard about on here than it’s fake news) mindset.
Was the mobile service successful?

Apologies for not having read all 500+ posts on this thread and I have a couple questions.
1. If this happens is the MME "bricked" until its 12v battery can be replaced?
2. Does putting a new 12v battery in the MME forestall this problem?
3. I thought I had read that this issue does not pertain to 2025s?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. Yes.
  2. Yes, a new battery (<3 years) helps prevent the issue.
  3. The recall includes all model years (2021-2025) made before June 3rd of this year.
