Extended Warranty about to Expire- Should I Extend Again

I’ve got a 2021 Premium AWD Mach-E and purchased an extended warranty when I first bought it — which ended up being a great investment. I’m now approaching 75k miles (currently about 400 miles away), and that’s when the current warranty expires.

I’m considering extending it again, but I’d love to hear your thoughts. The new extended coverage would add another 60k miles and cost around $3,000. It’s not pocket change — I’d have to make a few sacrifices to swing it financially.

What do you all think? Is it worth it? Appreciate any input from my fellow Mach-E owners!

Extended warranties are very subjective. Many people on here recommend Granger Ford, and I don’t think I ever saw a complaint about them. I would price check with them if you decide to buy. 3k sounds high to me, but maybe the going rate.

I got a 125K mile extended warranty for $2400, and in the last year I have had $5648 in repairs done under that warranty.

I am 5 months into using my Extended warranty (cost $1600), it has already save me $1,000. This is not the old days of extended warranties, I would be more surprised to find anyone who hasnt saved money with one.

I bought from Granger Ford, you should probably email them, as the website is confusing if you are extending a warranty vs buying one for the first time from them. They were great over email answering questions.

That was in late 2022, prices have gone up a bit since then, and guessing they will keep rising as fixing anything on this car is $$$

Is the one from Ziegler through Ford, or are they going through a 3rd party warranty company? If it is a 3rd party warranty I would make sure you have a good understanding of exactly what is covered and excluded from coverage on the new policy.

This is a new space, logical thought is "EVs are simpler, less maintence" warranties should be cheaper. Thats why mine was thousands less than an ICE equivalent. Its been a few years and the market is learning that almost every repair is super expensive and prices are adjusting.

I have owned my mache over 3 years, prices of Warranties and Insurance have gone steadily up in that time. The insurance industry data is catching up and they are adjusting accordingly.
