I think if I waved at other Mach-E owners around here they would think I'm crazy.

I am curious though, how often do you see other Mach-Es when driving around?

My most common trip is to my wife's work and back about 10 miles each way, and I usually see one or two each time.
The MME is fairly common here in Vegas. On a random 10+ mile trip around town I will see at least one other, sometimes several. These cars are not rare, and they're certainly not special. Microwave on wheels is how I describe mine. An appliance.

Fun conversation folks! Figured some levity is nice between all the complaints.
The problem is, there's people in car culture who actually believe / act in the manner your described in your first post. Falls under "funny, not funny". If we need confirmation for existing and/or our only measurable connection with other humans are the material things we buy, we're f%^&ed. **looks at current state of things** Come to think of it, we ARE f^&*ed. Nevermind.

[Is this discussion / waving thing not just some outward expression of hyper-materialism virtue signaling? Peak consumerism? ]

My first vehicles were a classic Vette and a Motocycle, both very strong wave cultures. I then had a jeep wrangler, again, wave culture. Since those vehicles I always wave if its the same car. I used to get looks when I would wave to every soccer mom driving a White Highlander, lots of confusion. The first 3 years with the Mach-e I waved to them, now I just wave to the Space Whites (there are 5 in my little city at least) but even with those I have basically stopped, just too many.

When my Trans Am was new, I would wave. That stopped fast since there were so many of them around. In my model year, they produced over 129,000 Trans Ams (there were 4 Firebird sub-models: Firebird, Esprit, Formula, Trans Am), so by 1980 you literally saw one (or more) at every intersection. 😯🐩

After 3 years I am still excited to see other MME. But I live in Miami. They may shoot me. Things get tense here on road.

Where the heck do you people live? We have so many Mach-Es that I’ve seen one get into an accident in front of me and another one get towed 🤷🏻. No one even looks at me and my car, although I think I have the best Mach-E color / trim / options out there. Zero people care.

Now my red corvette on the other hand…
If they stopped waving to each other they wouldn’t crash

I had a Jeep CJ-7 in 1982. People always waved. Never had a vehicle since that people wave.

If you want an appliance, buy a Toyota.

I often wave when I see another MME. They are rare enough. I even wave in my Mz3 cause there aren't many of that generation left either. Most people are unaware. That's fine. Being a car guy I notice what most vehicles are on the road. I can identify most from a distance.

...the next time I wave in comradery and you don't wave back, I'm going to hunt you down, take your car and leave you with a remote control Cybertruck.

You have been warned!
You are not the only one. Many of our brethren keep to themselves. Too quick to react as we pass by.

.
For the record, no one has ever waved at me. If they did, I would certainly wave back, but I wouldn't be the first one to wave.

I agree, but I don’t think that most folks who purchase our beloved Mach E’s are real car people who understand the culture.
