Build Date - Mid-November
Ship Date - Mid-January
Delivery Date - Mid-February

As part of the early build club, I’ve been worried about the 12v battery issue. It has made me distrust my MMe. For me, trust issues are different than irritants (like my roof wind noise). A car that might leave you stranded in the cold makes you not trust it.

In almost all cases, without trust, it’s difficult to love. This is true whether you’re dealing with a partner who’s cheated on you, or a car that might strand you — love without trust is difficult.

I’ve decided that 1 week (600 miles) is a sufficient amount of time for the 12v problem to manifest itself (if it existed). I feel like I can now “sleep easy” without worrying I’ll get stranded. I’m beginning to trust my MMe, to love it.

Well stated. Mine made it through the first night no problem (although it's here in California so "cold" may not have much impact).

According to the bulletin that ChasingCoral posted, it appeared that the 12V issue was relegated to a specific production of cars. Anything after the date on that bulletin should be fine.

I’m definitely in that early group (earlier build than all those with issues). Just had a delayed delivery...

I'm betting it's resolved. Thanks to @ChasingCoral 's sacrifice. But I get being a little on edge about it.

I understand your dealer is sending your Mach-e back due to “major” issues. Sorry to hear this....would definitely create “trust issues” for me

I'm just here to tell you how much I love this picture of your car. Carry on.

Looks like my “sleep easy after a week” theory was crap.
Today I received a “charge fault” message indicating the MMe “unexpectedly stopped charging.”

Turns out it didn't pertain to the car charging, but rather the 12 volt battery. Through off all kinds of goofy codes/messages like “stop safely now,” etc. It won’t start, wont come out of “accessory mode,” won’t shift out of park. Ugh..

I’m losing trust in this car again.

How many panels did you have to remove?

I’m calling the local dealerships tomorrow to see which one is best positioned to provide updated software.

I had to remove 2 panels from the frunk (top and driver’s side)

Incidentally, for those having significant trouble closing the frunk, I note that the 2 posts against which the frunk closes are height adjustable, and might be a couple of turns too high...

In the FE I studied, these posts were easily turned with two fingers - I can see these getting out of adjustment quite easily, resulting in a rattling hood, or maybe a hood that won't close without force.

Ah crap...I'm literally hours away from ordering my Mach E and can only hope these issues are fixed in the time it takes to receive mine. All of you early buyers are champs, I hope this gets resolved soon.

Crap. Sounds like you're a victim of that same problem. The good news is, Ford knows what the fix is for it already. These are teething issues with the new car.
Take it to the dealer - they will fix it.
