To review, in December, my car stopped running with red screen, "stop safely" warning. I took it to the dealership and they diagnosed the problem as a bad 12V battery and, after 2 weeks, replaced it. This was contrary to the diagnosis I got from another forum user. Many thanks to Mach Lee for his help.

Last week, the car stopped AGAIN. I couldn't get it restarted, so I waited for a tow to the dealership. Long story short, I am still waiting for a diagnosis from the shop. They don't have a loaner available. Amazingly, Ford "Customer Service" has been in touch but have no answer to my question, "WHY WOULD I EVER TRUST THIS CAR AGAIN?????????????????????????" It will sit in my driveway forever. Useless $$$$$$ Thanks Ford.

I had a similar problem. They basically just rebooted the car and it's been fine since. As an added precaution I purchased a booster box ($50 bucks at amazon) because I learned if it ever happens again I just need to hook up the booster to the battery and until the error message goes away...

In case other readers are wondering ... here: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/starting-battery-failure.32320

The problem is not the 12V or starting battery.

On November 8th and 27th, you got a P0B3B code in the BECM for a fluctuating cell voltage readings in the high voltage battery pack, cell 1-12 range. This could indicate a problem inside the high voltage battery pack. The cell voltages were reading normal when they checked, so it's an intermittent condition.

The last time I saw this code, they had to replace the BECM module inside the battery pack to fix the issue. It may be intermittent until then.

But, WHY did it have to be rebooted in the first place? PITA.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.
