The SA advisor informed me that they did a "reset" on the car and then test drove it 200 MILES !!! I was told that I was "charging the car incorrectly". When I asked him to clarify he said that the car is not to remain plugged in for an "extended period of time" i.e. "overnight as per the Owner's Manual." Is he telling me that all of you MachE Owner's are not coming home from work and plugging in the car to charge overnight? FYI - I've NEVER left it charging overnight. I'm retired so I plug it in after running errands, during the day, and unplug it as soon as the app lets me know its done. I think the SA's explanation is BS. Filing a Lemon Law case tomorrow.

Don't know why you keep starting new threads...

Your Service Advisor is full of crap.

You should leave your car plugged in ALL THE TIME. Why on earth are you unplugging it when it's done?

@Mach-Lee told you the codes and problem and that's what the issue is.

I apologize if posting new threads is not appropriate.

I'm unplugging it when it's done because that's what I was advised to do. I have told BOTH of the SAs what the codes and problem is. They keep telling me that they have done what the "Ford hotline" has advised them to do. I'm convinced that if I was a 6'2" 200 lb male, they might listen to me. But, alas, that is not the case.

sounds like you need to find a different Dealership, or get the BEV team from @Ford Motor Company involved to figure out why your dealership is so clueless.

No that's not it, I'm 6'4" 250, I got the same disrespect from 3 different Ford garages. Lucky for me the fourth had a good technician that has taken care of my car and truck for the last two years, just keep looking for a good Ford service department.

What is a BEV Team? I have someone from Ford Customer relations and a case number. Is a BEV Team different and how do I get in touch with them?

if you've got a case number, that's the BEV team.... hopefully they will push your Dealership to get training and get you squared away.

I'd get online, and give your dealership a horrible review.... that gets the attention of the General Manager.

sounds like you have a problem in the hardware/software that maintains the 12v battery voltage. If it was run down too many times, the battery may need to be replaced, but the underlying REASON needs to be fixed as well.

It *should not* matter whether you leave your vehicle plugged in, or not, or take long or short trips....

But, you should think about whether you have a any third-party devices installed that may be draining 12v like dash cam, alarm, or other devices that may stay 'on' when car is off ?

second thing to consider is proximity of your phone/fob to where your vehicle 'sleeps'. you want to make sure that you are not passing in and out of Bluetooth range a lot as that 'wakes up' your vehicle, and uses some 12v energy before going back to sleep. The car *should* charge the 12v when needed, but it strains the system.

Read the manual. You won't find any mention of unplugging when done. In fact, it will tell you to keep it plugged in so it can warm the battery if necessary.

Charge to 90% (100% if going on a trip and you need the range), and leave it plugged in.

Thank you for your suggestions.

The 12 V battery was replaced the first time I took it in. Since then, the car has been parked far, far away from my key fob or phone, and was not driven until the second time I got the "stop safely " error message. Both times that error message indicated "high voltage battery warning".

I do not have any 12V accessories.

I will post a review of the dealership. Unfortunately, I don't have any others nearby to choose from.
