You can tell by the front turn signals. The Premium has sequential front LED turn signals (moving amber lights) and LED signature lighting, whereas the Select has standard LED turn signals without the animation.
Your “latest software update” is different from others. Most likely, it’s a coincidence, but we don’t know what update you recently got, so we can only guess. What update did you receive? What region are you in? What model / trim? Details are important. From the post, I would say “it’s aliens”.
As stated, it’s the sketchy third party access to your Ford account that’s triggering the warning, Only the third party app can resolve it. Contact them to get it resolved. This happens with any third party that isn’t authorized for API access. There is nothing you can do on your end, except...
It could be the car, but most likely it’s your EVSE (the Emporia). If it doesn’t start a charge at your window, reset the circuit for the EVSE as a first step. You can also test by disabling your charge window and see what it does before waiting.
These were driver’s faults. The manual specifically states BC is not going to save you in these specific situations. Always pay attention. Don’t drink and drive.
I’ve rented many Kia / Hyundai cars in the last few years. I’m most definitely not a fan of the UI, although it’s faster than the Sync UI. I’m not a fan of the body either. It’s still capable and the 800v architecture is a huge plus.
Ok? You’re still in the wrong. I’m sorry you’ve had this hard lesson. It is what it is. Not defending anything, just giving you the hard truth. Bless your heart.
Ford warned you via the car and the app. You ignored it. The car is out of warranty. Period. If your (insert product here) is outside its manufacturer warranty, and it breaks, you pay to fix it or buy a new one. Ignoring faults / errors / broken items is on you, not the manufacturer. You...
“ To be clear, this is because it took me a very long time to get in there after the error message”
That’s your mistake, not Ford’s. You have to initiate warranty work while the warranty is valid. Otherwise, you’re out of warranty, even if the error existed prior. It’s how warranties have...
I got the same letter from my dealer today. Texted my buddy (service advisor for the local dealer) and we had a good laugh. He promised me free oil changes for life for bringing it to their attention. LOL.
I don’t. The likelihood of this happening is low. If someone wants my car, they’ll get it. Any car is susceptible to theft very easily through multiple avenues. The Mach E is low on the list because there aren’t many out there compared to other models, and there are basic safeguards.
Sounds great. The back end programming is probably difficult, which is why it hasn’t been tried yet. However, I use L3 charging maybe once or twice a year. I don’t really care too much since I charge at home for the cheapest rate.
This is my worry as well. Three years since mfg date, Thinking I’ll replace this myself. Cost looks to be ~$240 for the battery. Lots of online instructions (leave it off for 12 minutes before disconnecting, then just swap)
