Their goal 200k per year - it is about 1000 per day.

this article posted today:

https://insideevs.com/news/558927/us-ford-mache-sales-2021/

They report 27000 Mach E Mustangs sold during basically 11 months, which means an average of 2450 per month, or about 580 built per week average. If we assume a single shift of 8 hours 5 days a week that's 14.6 cars per hour.

Ford Authority has a reference to the factory is capable of producing 20 cars per hour, so it seems feasible that they are operating at about that speed, especially with supply chain issues etc.

To hit 1000 per day seems impossible at just the factory in Mexico. Even running 100% efficiency with 3 shifts, they would only build just under 500 cars a day there. Cars are being built in China, perhaps the goal of 1000 per day is across both of these plants?

OMG - they are awful - I needed a shower after I visited. Huge ADMs.

If possible switch to Galpin - no ADM when you order a vehicle - Fair and good communication.

If you need help call Neil Stone at Galpin see if he can take over your order... if nothing else he'll tell you honestly whatever he can about the process - good new or bad.

The 27,000 number are US sales only.
63683 is total production for the year.

WTF is that

Just got this email

1641524652308.png
My dealership changed ownership a few months ago and I received a similar notice. Still the same people, just new name and ownership. (Was McCoy & Mills, is Fullerton Orange County. ) Salesman has assured me that despite my deposit being refunded I will still get my vehicle. Also ford site started showing $3K ADM on my order; salesman has also since told me via email that ZERO ADM on customer orders. I will bring a copy of that email with me when the vehicle arrives.

Ordered June 4, projected delivery March 1. Keeping fingers crossed for a drama-free delivery.

I have no idea. That's all I've got.
But I'm sure they will start extorting me. I believe that is what their game. I suspect there is a conspiracy between dealers that they promise great service but in the end they kick the customer to each other to be released from those promises.

This hybrid online/dealer model is definitely failing.....
You give the dealers too much credit, unless they are both under the same ownership. They'd sell their own mothers to get credit for a sale.

When my daughter started college we bought her a new '18 Fiesta. Multiple dealers competed for my business. We found a car that was right trim, right color, right price. Another dealer offered to trade for that car then sell it to me for $100 less than the offered price so he could steal the sale. Alas, his GM quashed it; the two dealerships had the same owner.

Just called the dealer. My rep was not in yet but the other manager took the phone. He said that the whole dealership was acquired by some canadian company and all 400 customers received that email.
He reassured me that all the initial terms will be honored.
I asked for the purchase agreement - and he said that it shouldn't be a problem I just need to call a little later when my rep is in.

Back to the purpose of this thread ...

The shop.ford site just added my In Production start date as 1/6.
Yay! I've been refreshing shop.ford "frequently" but haven't yet picked up an In Production date. I'm still in this week's scheduled build.

Usually, once you get the start date, you also get an estimated Delivery date--did you?

Edit: note that I'm in Richmond VA therefore mine might take a ship to NJ, then be trucked, versus take a train and truck.
Yes, the same ship that will first stop in Jacksonville, FL

I ordered my Premium MME with base battery/motors on 7/27/21. The Delivery date stated 1/2-1/8/22. The dealer contacted me on New Year's Eve to let me know it was in so I immediately took delivery of the vehicle to ensure the $7,500 tax credit for 2021. I was pleasantly surpirsed when the vehicle arrived EARLY! Been with the MME for 1 week now and LOVE this vehicle so far. Such a pleasure to drive!

Did I miss why shop.ford doesn't recognize my order number? The same order number/VIN works at https://seg.fyi/mache-vin/#/details but doesn't work at shop.ford and gives an invalid order number.
