Timeline info for the thread and great news for me:

I've previously posted that I: ordered a SB GT from my dealer on 10/1/21 and received a Ford order confirmation on 10/1/21; a Ford email 11/4/2021 said I had a build week of 1/3; a Ford email 1/15 informed me that the car had been built. About 2 days later shop.ford updated and said the In Production date was 1/6 and the Build date was 1/14. Then a Ford email on 1/17 informed me that my MME had shipped. I think a day or two later the little circle under the Shipped label of the shop.ford site changed from solid white to partially filled (but not a check mark).

No notable shop.ford updates or emails had arrived since 1/17. Not that I'm anxious or excited but ... I asked my dealer today to run a VVR. My GT is indeed on a train in Mexico; it's been logged as passing through a northern Mexican train depot. Of note: shop.ford has no date associated with the Shipped bullet on the graphic timeline. Maybe that will update (insert a date and put a checkmark in the circle) this weekend.

The Ford "shipped" email gave a delivery est. between 2/19 and 2/25. I have confirmed that I have a palsapp Freight Bill # and I'll watch that over the next few weeks. When it pops in palsapp the destination should be somewhere towards the east coast, the ultimate destination is the Mid-Atlantic/Richmond area.

The point of this info? 1 - That not all of the early 2022 MMEs are going into chip hold (some of the cars have done so) .. at least not my GT. 2 - Ford is sending out update/progress emails relatively quickly after major production events have happened, say about 3-4 days after the event. 3 - The shop.ford site updates about 2-3 days after Ford sends out an update email.

It looks like I might receive one of the earliest production 2022 MME GTs.

I got the shipped email same day as you. Mine is a premium, not a GT... but hopefully my MME is on the same train as yours.

I have the exact same delivery est. dates as you... I am thinking my 2022 Premium is on the same train as yours. I am a little further north (NYC), but my delivery date is probably very similar. Very interested in following your progress.

Congrats and at least movement for some of us is happening. I ordered early July and have nothing but crickets since the in production on 1/6. I guess it should not be a surprise given what earlier build weeks have gone through but it makes me wish they’d just not say anything until it’s shipped. I’m going to assume your car is going to a dealer that is prioritized for an allocation ahead of mine and that’s just the way it goes. But I’m not sure it would be possible to design a more frustrating way of filling these orders.

For those of you who are "shipped" and/or "built," what are your batch numbers? For those of you on chip hold, what are your batch numbers? I wonder if earlier batches are getting chips while later ones are on hold.

"In production," Chip hold.

I should have pointed out in my long post that I ordered from a major Washington DC/Richmond dealership, and my order priority was set as 10 the day I ordered. So the dealership's allotments plus the order priority likely pushed my order to the front of the 2022 pack.

I just visited the 1/10/22 build week thread and now I see some of their cars (built after ours) are on chip hold and some are getting shipped. That's so frustrating that later cars are getting shipped with chips while some of ours are on chip hold.

003428, "built" and "shipped," at least according to my emails from Ford. But estimated delivery for me is 3/4, so go figure.

That’s the thing, I’m 3372 3/630 and while I haven’t confirmed I’m on a chip hold (dealer kind of just shrugged as far as an update) I’ve got nothing to show but the in production status. I think build order has no importance and it’s all allocation and EV state prioritization. But of course that’s just a guess because Ford would rather we all just break our fingers and keyboards hammering refresh while we wait for the build gods to show favor on us through some unknown decision process rather than just be up front with us about how the process works.

Iā€˜m in batch 3372 24/630. I too have been ā€œIn Productionā€ since 1/4 with no new updates from Ford. Called Ford Customer Care and they confirmed my GTPE has been produced but had no other info available. I asked if it was in a chip hold status and the reply was no. That is one thing they were sure of as that would show up on their status screen. Kind of hard to imagine making the delivery estimate of 1/29. Will still be in the hurry up and wait group.

Ok so then if that’s solid info on their part about not being a chip hold then maybe it’s purely a logistics hold related to train transport or holding because a lack of the downstream truck transport. Which makes it a little further along in the process and better than a chip hold at least. But yeah the 1/29 seems unlikely. My estimate is 2/15, it’s still possible they could meet that but I’m not going to count on it.

I hope that is correct.
