Ok, this makes me feel a lot better about it. Not sure what the major rail stations are, but if it's in a straight shot from KC to Newark the car could likely be closer than I think. I've been harassing my dealer for the past few days so I'll give them a break. If the car isn't in by Friday I'll ask for the rail car number.
Does your VVR provide a railcar #? I think you've posted that you have a print from your dealer.

United Road just showed my MME VIN with estimated pickup this Thursday, Feb 10, so hopefully I'll actually see my car this weekend or early next. fingers, toes and whatever I can find crossed...

Does your VVR provide a railcar #? I think you've posted that you have a print from your dealer.
I've never actually seen the VVR - just gotten the info relayed from my dealer. Seems like some things are happening for people, so I'm back to being optimistic.

What did the very first palsapp screen show? Was it Newark, or new castle, DE? If it were Newark, then yes, it'll be a straight shot to Newark.
Honestly, I can't remember. I feel like I've seen both cities at some point in the tracking info.

I'm hoping they use the shut down to put the missing parts in the vehicles that are already sitting.

Been reading the posts and awaiting arrival of my MME Premium ER. I had an estimated delivery of 2 /24 (2/18-2/24 according to my dealer). It was pushed back last week to 3/17 -3/13. Just reviewed the Ford Tracking website today and it's now showing 5/25. How does that happen with like no explanation? Also, the VVR I got from my dealer seems to have limited information compared to what I've seen other people post. No info on rail car, build date, holds, etc.

-Premium ER, white
-Ordered 7/31/21
-Converted from '21 to '22 by Ford 9/26/21
-With the change to a '22. I added the Ice White package on 11/1/21 (supposedly without losing my place in line)
-Loooong list of modules on the motorcraft service website
-Ford Tracker says "In Production 01/03/2022 (no further updates)
-00316 297/540

I could have written this post. I’m in the same boat. #264 in the same batch as you. My ETA went from 1/30 to 2/23 and now 4/30. Premium AWD ER Rapid Red. My dealer said I finally moved into chip hold. I’m sure that’s your issue too.

Could you give more details on this. I usually enter VIN in palsapp. Did you use some different form?
Well, that's another odd thing. If I enter VIN, palsapp says my car's 'Origin" is Louisville and 'Destination' is null. If I enter the convoy number, palsapp says the 'Origin' is Kansas City, and 'Destination is null. None of this makes any sense, and getting details from anyone at the dealership is like pulling teeth.

Let's assume that your MME has left the Norfolk Southern VOLTZ. The dealer's VVR now can't provide you any better updates than you can get yourself by calling the Norfolk Southern customer service number/railcar tracing. Follow the simple instructions summarized by @ponydsp in post #925 on this thread.

To do this, you must be given the railcar number provided in your VVR. The number is four capital letters followed by six numbers. The railcar tracing tool won't update every day; instead, when the train is scanned at a major depot.
The information my dealership shared last week had a railcar number listed for arrival in KC, then it shows 'Received' at Ramp 6, then the next entry shows 'Shipped convoy (Jack Cooper Transport). So I gather my car won't go by rail from KC to Louisville, but is going by truck, which seems weird. Would it do any good to try entering the railcar number listed for the arrival in KC?

This is part of my VVR from last week. After arriving at KC, Jack Cooper transported the car from ramp 6R to NS rail ramp 6P to go to New Castle Delaware. I would suggest wait till palsapp showed your car delivered status, then call your dealer again for an updated VVR to see what the next leg is.

May have a little insight into this. I had a conversation with UnitedRoad and he told me every car Ford makes get its VIN put into their system, however, about 25% of them actually ship through UnitedRoad. So often times the tracking info will just sit around with nothing really attached to it. Perhaps it’s the same with the rail companies. Not sure why Ford chooses to do it that way.

Thanks. Very helpful feedback. So far the report I have is:

So will keep checking palsapp for updated delivery status and resume bugging dealer. I thought it looked weird to use trucking transport all the way from KC to Louisville. I know there is rail delivery to the Ford assembly plants in Louisville and Jack Cooper transports cars from the plants to the local dealers. Which would make more sense to me, but what do I know.
