Now I am getting pretty ticked. I ordered my car 8/16. I see people that ordered at the end of December getting shipped emails. People that ordered in November with delivered cars. People are reporting at least getting Built emails. I finally see a Ford email today thinking it is the built notification and I get this B$#ls%$&

SmartSelect_20220318-214851_Email.webp
I got the same email. I was thinking it was because I emailed them and got a case number opened yesterday. Maybe not?

I see this:
Location: Tulsa, OK

and think that's possibly why. Still sad.
I don't think living in Tulsa is the reason your car isn't shipped yet. I live in Wa State and have been waiting since May. Some dealerships have higher priority than others. Also, people that finance verses cash customers, get higher priority. Someone financing will end up paying to Ford over the long haul verses a cash purchase. There's a lot more behind the scenes than we know. There are things that put one dealer lower than the next like: bad feedback for a dealer could lower their priority....

Just talked to my salesman, he was surprised to hear that the car is built in MEXICO.. OMG...
I told him how frustrated I was as car is marked built as of 3/2 but still says awaiting shipment. That it is waiting to ship for 2 weeks makes me nervous. Tomorrow he is going to either talk to the GM or give me his email.. I feel like I am going backwards. Great to hear that some folks in this group are getting their cars.
So frustrating. It seems that internal and external communication between FoMoCo, dealers, and customers is terrible. On 2/24, The day before my car arrived at the dealer, I got an email from Ford saying delivery would be delayed until late 3/26. At this point my car had been sitting in KC since 1/21. The next morning, resigned to another month of waiting, I checked the Ford tracking site (OCD daily ritual :)) and all of a sudden it says 'Delivered'. Called the dealer, and was told the car had just been delivered that morning (2/25). It drives you crazy to wait with no clear idea what to expect, but I promise it is worth it. Hope you are also just getting bad info and your car just shows up randomly a month before the estimated delivery date.

But Ford has no idea who is paying cash and who is financing until the car gets here. I do agree there is a dealler allocation algorithim but that should have affected build dates not ship dates... Who knows but I do think @Ford Motor Company and @mrlevine should tell us why a built car (going on 17 days ) is still awaiting shipping Been checking Palsapp daily and it has not gotten anywhere near KC still says pending....

You are probably right. I was not talking about it being shipped. I was talking about the fact that a lot of us in the 1/3 build week still do not have chips while folks that ordered months later and had much later build weeks are getting them. Seems like we are forgotten. So they are not fully built to even be shipped. I think certain dealers get priority. Anyway, it is probably all random I guess. I was just excited when I finally got an email from Ford, only to have the email seem like a step backward. I had to vent last night, but now I am better after said venting.?

I don't think Ford knows if someone will finance or pay cash until the car is delivered so that's out of the equation.

I do think there are some allocation priorities and emmissions requirements like Darren Palmer said where lots of MME were shipped to Europe last year to satisfy that, but higher allocation dealers probably do play a factor if someone was from a larger allocation state.

Here's a quick link I found for EVs per state. Old 2020 data, but CA alone is 42% and some folks still wait longer than others in CA. OK is pretty low there.

On the comment of chip hold delays, I think we all were shipped offsite and Ford just kept building later cars while they were on the line if chips were available and those all skipped in line to ours. They had to then probably bring our cars back to the plant to put the chips back in.

Mine still says the same thing. I'm guessing that they have so many cars ready to ship but can only send so many at a time. I've waited like everyone else and have been pissed at Ford for almost a year. Even though I still check every day, I've kind of become numb to the whole thing.

After thinking about it a little, I can see that, States like Oklahoma, that don't sell many EV's to begin with, would take longer. I cost more money to ship one or two cars to a State than it would to send a whole trailers worth. The only way they can make anything would be to wait until they have a full load.

This could be true to a degree, but my vehicle is going to Northern California and appears to have gotten zero priority with both the build and shipping. And there are plenty of vehicles going to same way everyday, so IDK.

I'm getting the same thing in Wa. The only thing I can say is the town I live in only has a population of 13000. I was mostly commenting on the Tulsa order though. We can guess all day and probably never come up with rime nor reason why they do what they do. lol

That doesn't mean anything, when you pull the sticker online it updates the time stamp arbitrarily.

OK, I retract my frustrated rant from late last evening after receiving what now looks like a generic email sent from Ford. I just received the coveted 'Built' email with estimated delivery between 4/15 - 4/21. I bet they now have some chips and are finally catching up on our build week. Looking forward to seeing more reports of progress in the thread. Now the watch begins for a Shipped email......

Ordered 8/16/21

Yeah I just got that email last night too. I suppose at this point I shouldn’t feel optimistic about anything, but maybe it does make sense that the email is generated because something is finally actually happening to our orders again so the system realizes the orders still exist and deserve a generic delay email?
