Anyone's car still stuck on Blount Island? Just heard from my dealer that they're waiting for the Blue Cruise update before being released from the island. My shipping date on Ford's site still says April.
So mine is at dealer. Been there since 4/28 when I left for vacation. I don’t know about blue cruise but others from Blount are getting cars. Check the 1/10 gang

I wonder why they decided to hold some and not the others ?

Hahahaha, funny story. So I was supposed to pick up my Mach-E today after over 9 months. I get there only to find out that last night someone dropped something on it after they finished doing the updates. Very minor damage. It's at the body shop now and I pick it up tomorrow.

I suppose I should be happy they told truth and fixed it instead of trying to hide it.

Seriously. thought, minor mishap that was not sales' fault notwithstanding, Bill Thorne at Town & Country Ford in Nashville has been great -- no hassles, no crazy packages, MSRP, X-Plan. Great guy.

Yup, just got that e-mail and now see this on the Ford site:

76D1039C-3EC9-43ED-813F-F93F60C24496.webp
Looks like I need to generate an X-plan PIN finally.
We have achieved car:

MSRP was $56,935. X-plan pricing plus the $2000 Price Protection knocked it down to $54,011. The $2500 Ford Options credit, and the $750 credit for being bumped from a 2021 to a 2022 got treated as a downpayment against the amount financed. So the effective price was ~$51,261. Managed to get an interest rate of 2.70% which I guess was what in effect at the time of ordering the car back in September of 2021. I had to argue with them a bit about the $2000 price protection, but the GM got on the phone to Ford and they walked him through applying the price protection.

The unfortunate part of this was that it took 3 hours to buy the car. We got there at 6pm and didn't get out until 9pm. Most of the delay was waiting for the 4 people ahead of us to clear the finance department, plus figuring out the price protection. Salesperson I dealt with was awesome. While we were waiting for paperwork to be dealt with, he sat with me in the car and went over various features and helped me setup PAAK.

I'm told the $500 deposit I put down will get refunded to my credit card.

So here is a question. I recently got a " 2022 Model Year RCL Customer Satisfaction Private Offer" email from Ford. I provided it to my dealer. My dealer is telling me that is the same $750 as the $750 we were all promised when our 2021 orders were converted to 2022. Is that accurate?
Not sure if you received a comment to your post but if you do a RCL you will not qualify for the tax rebate. That was the reason Ford developed the Options financing.

Well, I have been tracking the train car that my car is on. It is scheduled to arrive today at the Mira Loma distribution center about 65 miles away from the dealership.

For probably closer to two months until last night my delivery window is May 2-8. Now that my car is close to delivery the webpage just updated with a new delivery window of May 30, June 6.

I do not have that "delay" e-mail from Ford (yet at least)...but I am assuming this is in error just like the email I got from Ford less than 1 hour after I got the "your car is built" e-mail that said my car was now scheduled for production.

Hopefully to those that have also seen a slip in delivery will find their cars also arrive "ahead" of the "current" schedule. I am hopeful that the dealership can get my car on a carrier early next week.

I picked up my MME yesterday! It was one of the cars at Blount Island. I am really thankful for the help I've received here.

The dealer, Angela Krause Ford in Alpharetta was great to deal with for the transaction. They honored the original price. I used Ford Option and I got the rate and incentive offered last Sept when I ordered the car. And were very nice and professional. A refreshingly positive experience at a car dealership. They weren't expecting the car but they really hustled to allow me to pick it up the day it arrived.

The only problem with the process happened while we were setting up the vehicle. The main screen went blank. It was working when we first arrived before we started the paperwork. That was on Wednesday. It spent the night in the shop. I thought it just needed to be resort and it did but I wanted them to do it. So we finished the paperwork ands left in a nice ICE loaner car. The next day salesman walked us through the set up of the main driver and most of the menu items. It is going to take time to figure out how to get all the settings where I want them. But that's OK.

I haven't had enough time with it to give a real evaluation but at first blush It is very nice! I've been driving a 19 BMW X3 and the MME is not a step down. The ride is comparable. The excelleration is MUCH better. The tech seems better too. BlueCruise is there but haven't had a chance to use it. It was worth the wait.

That’s great! congrats! As a fellow Bay Area Resident, did tracking your railcar ever update on the phone line with BNSF? I know you said I only ever said it was on a railcar on 4/11, but just wondering for my own order. It’s been in Kansas on the railcar since 4/26 for me.

I was never able to track it via UP or BNSF's tracking system even though I had a railcar number. Just kinda went into a black hole of tracking once it got loaded onto a train in Kansas City. The ford.com website did update a couple of times and the latest update, which was a estimated delivery window of 4/30-5/6. And it pretty much was right.
