Are you tracking via CSX or is Ford chat giving you the location info? I got my rail car from the dealer, but when I call CSX the system says it's empty.I’ve had luck with ford chat to find out about the train to KC. Once it gets to KC then it will get on another train. I think VA goes by Norfolk Southern. Ford chat can give you rail car number and then you can call the automated 800 number for Norfolk to get the mostly exact location.
They are shipping fast. I’m in the same batch and saw modules yesterday, so maybe I’ll see shipped today too!
That stinks. At this point what can you do? You won’t be able to get another car (well maybe an ICE, oh and those are being marked thousands up too!) anytime soon, you ordered a great build, I would wait. And I highly doubt any dealer will buy you out; I just wish they’d sell one at msrp off the lot for folks who have an order.I am so miffed right now with Ford. I can't believe my luck with this f***ing car.
Order to delivery will be 12 months and now I may have to wait another who knows how long to actually pick my car up?
I've already installed the damn home charger, already sold my car (borrowing a car from a friend for now but that was only supposed to last 3 weeks, not 3 months!), sold a motorcycle to also get more cash for the payment...
All for my car to literally be built on the last day before this recall was fixed? I think this is just a sign I was not meant to have this car....
Any chance I can have the dealer buy out my reservation for a few k considering they will mark up the car at least 10k when they get it?
Build date is not production date. If your car went into production on may 24 you are still in the recallThe "NEW VEHICLE DEMONSTRATION / DELIVERY HOLD - Advance Notice - Safety Recall 22S41" says Mach E build range May 27, 2020 to May 24, 2022. Per Ford my build date was 26 May.... out of the woods.
I am just not optimistic. VIN should come out soon to know who exactly is impacted. Fingers crossed
Is that an app/service we all can use? Or is it something paid or through employment? If we all can use it... What is it?If anyone has their traincar number on Norfolk southern, I have the ability to track it better than the phone tracking.
For example. I can now see that my train is expected in port Wilmington DE tomorrow/friday![]()
It’s also less expensive to do a software fix.The idea that the part had been changed was based on someone, somehow, noting a change in the part number. The question is whether the part number corresponded to hardware or software. Until that's confirmed, I remain skeptical that this is just a software fix.
I say that because the software may allow Ford to avoid dangerous situations, but it will likely impact their advertised claims on performance (both acceleration and charging). Whether it's dangerous situations or "product not as advertised," they're probably opened up to lawsuits. The difference is that ethically, considering publicity, and thinking about possible payout, it's probably cheaper to take the hit on reduced performance, particularly if they can say that they are offering a hardware fix.
It's all speculation - we'll see.
My vin is showing no recall and build delayed a week to 5/23 and built on 5/27.Can someone that experience the production delay do me a favor and put your VIN in here:
Vehicle Lookup (ford.com)
I'm hoping to test if all Mach-Es are currently showing up on Etis with the Advanced Safety Recall or if it might be a reliable way to look up if you are or aren't at this point. I had to try a couple different browsers to get the above link to work.
I still don't buy that. Why on Earth would be another part number for the HVBJB?FYI, the latest from the recall thread indicates a software solution.
In fact, those of us that made the cutoff and are not recalled, only got a software update. No new hardware.
At least this should be an easier fix than replacing the HVBJB.
“Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production:
The updated SOBDMC software and BECM software was introduced into production on May 25, 2022.”
yeah who knows.I still don't buy that. Why on Earth would be another part number for the HVBJB?
But it's good to see your cars are all moving forward. I'm in the 5/30 and hopefully we will start to see movement there too.
