is there a convenient summary of all the smart vincent info? dealer is acting crazy and getting the lease and option plan confused. They think you cant by the car back with ford option, but can buy at the end of the lease. having a hard time locating the steps I need to work with the dealer.

I did the exact same thing today and had the same result. They tried the service manager and parts but dealer didn’t answer. They were going to try to help get an ETA and expedite if they could. Oh well. :(
Im on the same boat. Called ford to help get the part expedited. Dealership gave me an ETA end of the week and its Friday already and still nothing.

I have a similar problem. The dealer is telling me that he cannot find the Ford Options and cannot figure out how to get the rates either from Mar when I placed the order.

I will give this a try later today. The dealer will not even talk about Options, forget talking about rate protection. I might have to go to the GM.

Congrats! How was it dealing with financing?
Super easy and smooth. Got x plan, did Ford options so I got the interest rate at the time the order was placed as well as the incentive at that time, MSRP (of course minus x plan). No random additional add ons by the dealership

I had to find the right finance person at the dealership. After talking to 2 people yesterday and 2managers finally hit jackpot with the third one. He knew almost exactly what I was talking about e but has to explain that the rate on the credit application was today’s rate and he needed to fix the credit app to the rate and incentive for when the dealer accepted the order (Mar 2022). He understood what I was saying and updated the app to the correct rate.
The dealer did add on about 250 for some coating on the interior that the finance manager tried to claim was factory put but after an exhausting 4-5 hrs I did not fight it.

The dealer model needs to go away. It is not worth this hassle especially when I am paying msrp on the car.
Everything is signed and I should have the pony in the stable tomorrow.

Good to know that you can work with different salesmen and managers, I thought you could only work with the one assigned to you because of their commission model.

The one assigned to you does all the work. But not everyone has been trained/knows about Options and rate/price protection. You have to keep insisting on what you want. I even showed the sales and finance managers the ford option details on Fords website and they still had trouble understanding it.

Now, I do not know if this was just a a ploy for them to try to get me to use their loan process so that they could make money from that. But I would not put it past them to try to be that sneaky.

To me it appears that there might be one or two people who have access to Vincent. The sales or finance managers are not really doing much. They just do the grunt work. It appears that the people that they report to that have all the power. This person (not my finance manager) who knew what I was talking about seems to call all the shots when it comes to financing. He might have prepared all the paperwork and then given it to my finance manage. My finance manager just tried to sell me stuff and helped me with signing the paperwork. Sorry, my choice of titles is confusing.
