I woke up to my delay email this morning confirming what my Ford.com page said… delayed a week. If true, I can handle that small of a shipping delay.

Hmmm. No change in dates on my delivery yet. I was a week after your previous dates. May 2 - 8. If it truly shipped when I got the email it would be about 2.5 weeks to May 8th so I guess it's possible. Though that assumes it quickly goes from the rail yard to the dealer just a couple of miles down the road. Guessing they still have to load it on a truck to get to the dealership. I'd volunteer to drive it from the rail yard to speed it up

I got a call from my dealer yesterday that my car is in. It sat on Blount Island (Jacksonville) Fl for 2 + weeks. I suspect getting it trucked to SW Florida was the issue. I think we can pick up the car tomorrow. As of yesterday it was 1 year and two days from order to delivery to the dealer. Even though I was told it would be a priority build when it was converted from a 2021 to a 2022, we believe we were thrown into the pot with all of the other orders in early October 2021. This forum has given me so much information and guidance, now I will have to learn all the in's and outs of this EV. I hope others are finally getting their cars too. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to how this all played out.

Ford Chat is saying the vehicle is in Loredo Texas. So I googled it and it's just across the border from Mexico. I hope this means it's through customs or whatever else it needs to clear. They didn't provide any better dates on when it would arrive. The end of the window is May 8th so we shall see.

Probably halfway to KC by now! I think it is typically 2 weeks from Mexico to KC. I wish they would just truck mine from Laredo to San Antonio (2.5 hour drive on i35) rather than shipping it the whole way up to KC and then back down here again. The Ford works in mysterious ways...

Same. I have two ordered(me and my dad) that arrived in Laredo on ape 27 and still there according to chat (and not yet showing on palsapp)... Hopefully an update by Friday.

Well, I got my car today after a year and five days from the original order. I was given price protection, the $750 Ford gave us on the conversion from 2021 to the 2022 model. Salesperson said that if they were going to sell that car to someone else, had we declined, they are charging an administration fee now. He mentioned that people are buying the Mach E and they turning around and selling them at a profit. Who knows. I have only driven it home from the dealer and will figure out the computer tomorrow. My husband also loves the car and fits though he is 6'6" Good luck to everyone. This forum has been such a wonderful learning experience for me. Thank you.

Thanks so much. There were times I was not sure I would ever get this car. I was ready to cancel but then wondered what they would cut on the 2023?? I am very disappointed that the car does not have the kick open trunk. Salesperson said that other vehicles are still coming in with that. I can only hope that down the line I can get that to work. Read someones instructions on how to do it on this forum but we will have to take another look at that. I used that feature all the time on my Escape.

Just finished up with Ford chat and "brianna" was very helpfull. She mentioned my car is currently in Laredo waiting on shipment to its next location where it will transfer to its last rail trip to Delaware and the ETA to the dealer is now the week of May 23rd! I'm getting so close now I can almost hear the rumble of the exhaust! no wait there IS NO EXHAUST?

Hello! I've been lurking around the forum for a while now and this is my first post!? You guys have been a wealth of knowledge and experience and it's been comforting to know that I am not alone in this loooooonnng agonizing wait!

My journey so far:

• 6/19/2021 - Order placed

I've had several emails with changes to delivery dates over the past couple of weeks, my current ETA is between 5/22-28. I'm hoping it will be sooner than that though, I've been tracking the rail car that my car left Muncie, KS on via the Union Pacific Trace phone line and as of 4:30 this afternoon it had an estimated arrival date and time of 5/5 @ 11:04 PM. Unfortunately, the auto recording does not provide a location for arrival so I am assuming it means somewhere in California since I'm in the Los Angels area.

What number of Union Pacific customer service did you call? What information did they need? I'm in NorCal with a rail no. starting with AOK..???

You can call this number 1 (800) 877-5123. It’s all automated so there’s no one to talk to. You press 1 for English, then say Trace, and when they ask you how many pieces of equipment you say 1 and then it’ll ask for the rail car number. You have to speak very loudly and clearly for the system to pick up all the letters and numbers. I’m making some assumptions about the info it gives, as I mentioned it doesn’t tell you the final location just the estimated time of arrival.

FYI: I saw this thread from last year and was hoping Ford had made a change to the 2022 cars…but it appears there was no change (at least as of the Early 2022s).

If you don’t know about this issue of a potential dent from the charge port door, please be mindful of it. A clever person developed a fix for it and made the file available for printing (or you can purchase one directly).
