My Poor Blue Meanie arrived Thursday night at the N/S Edgemoor yard and has been trapped there waiting for the Shunt to the Autoport yard for unloading. Currently the lovely lady I talk to at autoport doesnt expect it in the yard until Tuesday due to the holiday weekend.
All good though, gives me a few days to get quotes on my 17' Escape since the dealer said he would match any other quote I bring in!.
Already have pricing on the MME straightened out, doing X-plan, $750 21~22 price adjustment, 2k regional discount, Ford options just for the 1k credit, and only downside is I have to wait for the price protection, but it is listed in the contract as "moneys owed at time of sale"!

EDIT 5/28 at 7:30, just got a call from Cindy at autoport, railcar has been shunted and offloaded! Blue Meanie is sitting in the yard awaiting transport to dealer!?

Good luck. My words of advice on the price protection is to take the Ford memo that was sent to dealers. On the bottom of that memo is a phone number for the dealer to call and they'll walk them through the process.

With my issues the finance lady had no idea how the price protection worked yet wouldn't admit it and wasn't going to listen to anything I had to say. She was very confrontational and brash, all while she couldn't be more wrong. I don't understand how she was employable in the first place.

Anyway they got hung up on the price level that's identified on the memo. It's PL220 and they were convinced my order had to be PL220 as well to qualify. I was PL125. I explained that was the price level code at the time the price protection went into effect. Anything after that was not subject to protection and all order before were subject to price protection. After what seemed like an hour of going back and forth of getting no where I asked if they could call the number. She was adamant that the number didn't apply as it's a fleet number and this is a retail order and she had someone at the dealership that could take care of it the next day.

So when I got home I called the number and they couldn't help me as I wasn't the dealer but they said it's absolutely the correct number for the dealer to call.

It was late the next day and my sales guy called to tell me he was sorry it was taking so long and it didn't look like they were going to get it sorted out that day. I asked him if he could ask her to humor me and just call the number for questions. Not less than 25 minutes later he called me back to say she called the number and I was good to go. ?‍♂

And of course she was not involved when I came back in to finalize and purchase the vehicle. All else went great. Sales guy was great to work with but man did this finance lady really ruin the whole vehicle purchase experience.

So long story short, if they are having issues with the price protection make sure they call that number.

Thanks for that info but my dealer already went through all the paperwork and pricing and i will have the price protection paid to me once they receive it from Ford. I had asked if they could front the money but it is their policy not to front pricing from Ford. As I mentioned the contract does list the price protection as moneys owed to customer.
I am fortunate to have a sales manager willing to work with his customers.

Just logged on to the Ford.com reservations page. My delivery ETA moved again without any communication from Ford. Moved by a whole f'ing month 6/27-7/3 (was 6/1). On 7/5, it will have been a year since I ordered. So much for that 28 weeks they promised when I ordered. And so much for that, "we'll hold your place in line" when my 2021 order was converted to a 2022.

Yes, worth the wait.

I've put about 200 miles on mine this past week. Just finding/making up errands to run lol.

Struggling with Paak a bit. It works but it's just not quick like having the key in your pocket. Walk up to car and press button. Car clicks (wakes up?) and about 5-10 seconds later it seems to identify that my phone is near and allows me to unlock. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? For the most part I pull out my phone when leaving the store and unlock the car through the app so there's no delay when getting in. Anyway, after the first day of ownership I have not carried the key fob and don't plan to.

The acceleration is insane. Absolutely love that you're not drawing attention when quickly accelerating due to a loud engine/exhaust at high rpm

The Blue Meanie is home! Spent a couple of hours hashing over pricing (expected) but in the end, got X-Plan pricing, $750 year swap, 2k regional discount, 2.5K Delaware EV rebate, and $850 Ford reward bucks. We haggled about the price protection and it will be disbursed when they recieve it from Ford (its in writing!)
Can't say enough about Porter Ford, very proffesional and courteous sales help, even the finance guy Rob! All said and done, paid cash for her after selling my Escape earlier today to carmax.
Only put about 20 miles on her so far but I'm hooked! Quiet, Smooth, Comfy, and FAST!
