2022 Leaf, 2021 MME Rt 1 on order
Country flag
My Sept 20 order for a Rt 1 just got converted to a 2022 order. Best of all...

To thank you for being a valued customer, we're offering you $750* to help cover any price variation for the model-year update.

I'm happy. If I remember right, my model increased in price by $375, so this will be a net $375 drop in price. Thanks Ford!

My Aug 14 order did the same. Ford "hit production capacity. " $750 price offset credit. Will not lose place in line.

My order for a 2021 Premium in Iconic Silver was converted to a 2022 model year. The 2022 guide does not list Iconic Silver as a color option. Will that color option be honored for existing orders or will I need to choose from the 2022 color options? I contacted my dealer and they have not indicated that I need to change the color, but they are probably not as aware of the changes as I am.

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and was told that my iconic silver order showed it was converted to iced blue silver.

I just (10/01/21) got an email from Ford saying my 2021 Mach E Premium AWD ER has been updated to the 2022 model. They are also giving me a $750.00 credit to offset the model year price increase. I noticed the price on the build and buy site is slightly higher but the $750.00 brings it down to the price on my P&S.

Ford also assures me my place in the queue will not be affected. I ordered on 06/23 but still do not have a build date. I also noticed that more paint options are available for my trim. I can now get the same Cyber Orange the GT comes in (excited about that). I would have really like to have received a production date but this was still pretty good news.

Is Iconic Blue(2021) the same color as Iced Blue Silver Metallic(2022)? I would like to change my order from Dark Gray Matter to the Blue Silver.

Thanks for any replies!!!!

I just got the same letter. My order for a Premium Extended Range AWD was placed 6/4/21 and I was told at the time it would take up to 26 weeks. That would have been late November early December. I called Ford corporate, They can not tell me if my new 2022 would arrive this year as promised or next year, since it hasn't been scheduled for production yet. Basically they couldn't tell me anything that I didn't already know. My dealer seems to know less than I do. This order process has been very unsatisfying. I'm updating my order to a 2022, but I'm going to test drive a few other EV's to make sure I'm not making a horrible mistake.

We order on 7/1 and online it shows a production date of 10/18 not sure if that will hold true or get changed. Wife found one at a dealer and jumped on it so we have been driving one for a month now. I can say it's worth the frustration and that we truly enjoy it. Have convinced 2 friends to purchase them after they saw, heard what we said and drove ours.
Just my opinion but it's worth the wait.

Received the same email earlier today. Sent my dealer an email to confirm the change and add "remember no dealer markup!". His email reply "confirmed". Just waiting for our VIN.
