Flip side of this - what changes would make you likely to upgrade your '21 MY to a new one?

For me, a simple increase in range wouldn't be enough (unless it's +20% or more). A small increase to the 0-60 time also wouldn't do it.

Maybe a sunroof that actually opens? A light up pony badge for non GT trims. And an option for larger wheels on non GT trims.
Two preemptive conditions.....,

Prompt delivery with reliable tracking info.

Scratchless door panels and 'B' pillers. Why I have marks from seatbelt retraction and fingernails is disappointing. I've already ordered some 3M Clear Protection to cut to size and location to stop this. Our car is only 600 miles old and you'd think Porcupines are driving it!

One thing Ford should do is make the Pano Roof an option on all trims. A pano roof without a sunshield in Florida does not bode well. The sunshine alone will make the cabin HOT regardless of the coatings applied and excessive use of HVAC . . IMHO.

I didn't want glass roof at all! With or without shade.

The only changes that have been confirmed so far....
1. The driver instrument screen will emit soothing ocean sounds.
2. Three exciting new colors: Goose Grey, Graphite Gray, and Galactic White ($800 add).

Everything else is just pure conjecture at this point.

I know some insiders at Ford, and they have provided some pretty specific info on changes to the 2022 model:
  1. Some refinements
  2. Bug fixes
  3. Minor changes here and there
I think it's pretty exciting...I might end up waiting for the 2022 model...

For me, probably the option to add the magnaride suspension and GT grill for premium trim (or if they allow me to get an infinite blue GT I might be persuaded to upgrade to that trim) and more range. Other than some potential tweaking of the existing suspension I'm in love with the car.

It would be great if Ford could offer longer range and shorter charge times. But, don't think much progress will be made to range and charging until Ford migrates to solid state battery technology, which is a ways off.

#2 should stop all those defectors to Audi E-Trons.

  • Audio settings will be saved
  • Paak v2.0 will work somewhat better than v1.0
  • Propulsion sounds will be user selectable from the complete set of Mustang engine sounds dating back to 1964 (excluding 1980-1993 because those were butt ugly)
  • Full self driving, but it won't actually be full self driving until an update that never comes

a horse hair tail coming out the back so that when driving, that will look like the tail in the logo and fractal 3D printed pony, which the 2022 buyers won't get :p

  • LED lights will be in the back as well as the front
  • Driver seat has two-way adjustable tilt
  • Battery has 15% larger capacity
  • Larger tires now come standard
  • Front Pony is LED on Premium trim now
  • Backup beep is gone

(Disclaimer: these are strictly rumors and originate from me and I have absolutely made them all up.)
Customizable backup sound please!
