What is on your list?
In no particular order: Lucid Air (with serious caveats), Volvo EX60, Rivian R3X, Acura RSX, Silverado EV. Every last one of these has issues that will make me think carefully. None, except the Silverado, have on-island service centers. Neither Lucid nor Rivian are financially sound atm. If I limit my search to those with existing on-island service centers then I need to only look at Ford, Chevrolet, Honda (not Acura), Hyundai, Toyota, and Kia. Chrysler, Jeep, and Nissan are out as they’re the same dealership and I’d rather walk than give them a plug nickel. There are zero Tesla’s I’m interested in, even excluding Mr Musk from consideration.

I’ll look at Kia and any new Ford offerings closer when the time comes.

Honestly though, I rather like the mme styling. Almost everything else just looks like a station wagon.

Acura RSX has a very nice look, whenever it actually comes to market. But it needs 800v charging.

We have both a 2022 and a 2025 Premium. The first things that come to mind for me on the 2025 are the lack of a solenoid to push the front doors open once the button is pressed and the black rocker panel moldings and the rear trim are black textured plastic rather than glossy as on the 2022. Also, the wheel well arch trim pieces match the car's paint on the 2025 while they're black on the 2022. The dash display layout is completely different and the 2025's frunk is much smaller than the 2022's. No kick-to-open rear hatch on the 2025 and I think the portable charger & tire repair kid are both options rather than standard equipment on the 2025.
I have a 21 GTpe and like the round shifter similar to the GT500, most people seem to like the new column lever, can you say why that might be?

Maybe because there's no need to think about it or look at what you're doing. Push the lever up to shift into Reverse, push it down to Drive, push the button at the end of it in to Park. I like it!

As a newer member of this illustrious group, I've noticed previous references to Fords decontenting this wonderful vehicle with each new model year. I appreciate the detailed lists in this thread (tho disheartening) and it makes me all the more grateful that I found my sexy '23 Premium extended AWD w/only 4200k with a lot of the features I'm enjoying not being on newer models. I plan to drive her for a loooong time, but if, gods forbid, I needed to replace her, I'd likely look to stay with a "23. Do the current motor housings at least still have the "ELECTRIC PONIES LIVE HERE" embossed on them?

The Acura dealer out here is on Oahu with a small one on Maui. They do not allow the Honda dealers on this island to perform any warranty work on an Acura, ICE or BEV. They also do not do mobile service unlike Rivian, Lucid, and Tesla here. They’re in the same group of Luddite’s as VW, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, Jaguar, Genesis and Polestar. They’re out unless that situation changes.

Oh and BMW has a dealership here, but I’m not enamored with their fugly cars.

I haven't seen anyone mention it, and since I have a 21 not a 22 I don't know if it applies as much, but given the winter climate I find it important to note. The 2025 loaner I have is SIGNIFICANTLY more efficient. I can get over 4mi/kWh without too much effort on my 13.8 mile trip and the first several miles the system shows over 5mi/kWh. The heat pump is a huge improvement. I have a standard range 21 and the loaner is an extended range 25, both awd. The highest I have ever gotten on short run (3 miles) was 6.1mi/kWh and all these tests were done below 34 with a non-preconditioned battery. The 21 struggled to get above 3 with a preconditioned battery pack. I know there's a lot more to the differences, but others have pointed those out. Thought I'd do an efficiency comparison.

The Mach-e no longer tops my list of cars when it comes time to replace my 21. @RickMachE’s list explains most of the rationale quite succinctly.
Yes, it does and if Steve needs one to put his poodle in, here’s a good replacement that I’m gonna be putting on order when I can, I’m first on the list, but only the guys overseas can put in the orders right now. Someone put an order in the other day and it will be delivered December 12.😳

Isn’t it crazy? Five years in and I still have trouble coming up with something definitively better than my First Edition.

My “maybe if I was rich and just had $120k to burn” list:
- Tesla Model X Plaid
- Caddy Lyriq V Performance
- BMW iX3 Neue Klasse

The problem is that it’s just too good a value to keep driving my First Edition.

Or if you wanna go back to ICE and wait till 2029, the BMW M division is coming out with 30 new models by then😁

Only thing I consider is getting an ER, but even that, my SR AWD has handled every trip we have made in 4 years and 60k miles. My 2021 runs like new, and has an extended warranty until 2030.

I will just keep driving this until something changes (or if my kid starts playing Hockey I might need to jump to an ER Lightening.

Yeah.

I don’t do a Tesla, but that’s me.

Everything else just looks, “Meh.”

And the model X has been discontinued.
