So 21’, 22’, 23’ HVJB are sheet. Ford says, just keep making them. As long as they are selling, we can recall them later. Tesla’s are sounding better and better lol.
Yup, I made the mistake of putting faith in Ford instead of going with Tesla or even Lucid.

My thoughts on this is that Ford produced a vehicle with the Mustang name and stamped a GT badge on it but then tells owners that we should drive it as if it were a Ford Pinto. I purposely picked the Ford Pinto because it was one of the most POS vehicles Ford ever made. Question is, will the Mach-E go down in history as today's Pinto?
I for one am not a crazy driver but I drive it how I like it. There are many others that drive likewise. I would not holdback.

Nor am I a crazy driver. Mine broke from AZ highway driving. Hopefully yours does better.

How can I find out which HVBJB I have? Just traded my 2021 prem awd for a 2023 GTPE.
It’s probably a LK9Z-10C666-B if it’s never been replaced. If it has been replaced, look at the work order or your invoice from the dealer service department. ??

That may be so, but it still is not very good customer satisfaction. I purchased a brand new vehicle thinking I would have peace of mind and not have to worry about major mechanical issues so soon. My Mach-E is barely 1 year old and just in the 12K mile mark. When I consider my automobile ownership history since the 1990s, this is the first vehicle where I have had a catastrophic failure so soon.
Yeah, I am sorry man. It is pretty lousy Ford continues to repeat the same mistakes year after year. Makes me nervous that mine will have that problem as well. This is a critical time in Ford’s quest to take the EV market by storm and they should really invest in higher quality components even if it means slightly smaller profit margins. I’d be willing to bet Ford would come out ahead in profits long term if they built a Toyota-like reliable brand. I love Ford’s styling and performance. Reliability and slightly lower pricing would dominate for Ford. Hope this is the last time you have to deal with this issue on your Mach-E man.

That looks familiar. Sorry it happened to you. It’s only a matter of time before it happens to a lot of us again with the B or B-RM part. ??
Understand they are on F now for the MME4x. My last was C-RM and has been knocked off the recall. Not holding my breath as @heisnuts blew a C-RM also.
At least it will be covered under warranty!
Since the warranty is running and does not reset when the under designed defective part is changed I think we can all see where this is going here. Two HVJB later and less than 5 years left on the warranty here.

Thanks. I bought it new (17 miles) so I would think it is the -B part. Not sure how robust that one is, but I don’t drive that often or do many WOTs, etc so I should be ok.

Hopefully you will be ok and not have to deal with this nonsense. Yup, not too many places you can do WOT where you are. Back in the day I-78 between I-287 and EWR was the unofficial racetrack of the Garden State.

I have a 22GT. I have driven 20,000 miles and no issues. Mostly in town but some highway and rolling hills. My mindset was always if my HVBJB fails I will just take it in and get it fixed. I did have the recall completed this month but I am fairly sure the recall part is no different than the 2023 part. Another thing to consider is once the recall is over the part will be more readily available. I realize no one wants to have to take their car in for repairs but it is only an 8 hour job so maybe just a 2 day visit. I do see many people take theirs in when they get the SVS warning but in my case I would have just drove it until my appointment as the reduced power would not be a problem in town. Hopefully your experience will be like mine and you will have zero issues!

I commute with mine. My mileage in my car’s early days was pretty tame (dealing with dog who had cancer, then finding out about HVBJB issue). I blew up my original -A part doing a freeway cloverleaf, a short sustained ~3/4 throttle uphill corner. No WOT on that particular day. That’s not to say that I hadn’t WOT the car prior or since. Just that I hadn’t WOT much before I blew it up. ??

I guess sometimes when it rains it pours - dog cancer is rough, one of my friends just went through it.

My mom was the Mustang owner in the family. She was super-jacked that I reserved an MME. Too bad her cancer took her out two months before I got my car. She wanted a “death ride” in it. ??

Got an appointment with my Ford dealer. I'm hoping for a service experience as pleasant as my sales experience was. ?

Current HVBJB part number for the GT/GT-PE: LK9Z-10C666-C ??
I got this part installed but I have a premium 4x - I looked back at the part number I had noted down from the dealership and it says NK4Z10C666C
