whoa. When did you get your E box and how long and under what circumstances did it fail?
I got it the first week of February. About 4k miles on it. It failed after a DC charging session

Ford is notorious for doing the very absolute minimum for a recall. See the Focus automatic transmission fiasco.
Manufacturers are all the same, it’s because of the multiplier, what seems a little cost is massive when multiplied up by the number of cars involved!

First one I think we've heard of. Are you 100% positive you got the E part? I know for a while (and even still) some dealers are just putting the older part in.

Mine sat for a week on the lot, completed. After I went to the lot to reclaim it, in whatever state it was in, they realized it was done.
Well, my car has updated FordPass once yesterday and once today. So they at least put the 12v on a charger in the past couple of days. They said they would call me by today, so if it's 4pm and no call, I'll call them. If there is truly a hold on the HVBJB service work (seen in that other thread), then I'm gonna ask for an ETA and a loner if won't get done by Friday.

On my third HVJB, still not the latest and down to less than 5 years warranty here.
This is what I'm afraid of. I thought I did a decent job researching before I made the decision but if I could go back 2 weeks I think I'd not buy it again because being stuck with random problems and hearing stories of being in the shop for weeks is nuts to me. We're coming from a 2016 camry that has never had a single problem ever in 4 years we've had it so this is a change of pace for sure ? ?

Amazing. Reading this forum I am starting to regret this purchase. I hope this does not happen to me. The Model 3 I traded in had one problem with the suspension once, was fixed and never saw the service center again. I really hope the MME does not give me trouble because I like the car.

I’ve got a 2023 GTPE with 12k miles and no issues at all. Had a Camry too. The engine-sludge one….this is definitely better in every way.

This is the OASIS report I was given. As far as I can tell that's the E part
@Mach-Lee Is this the first new HVBJB you've seen fail? Any insight on other failures of the new parts?

@Nolanbro That is really unfortunate, such a crappy thing.

What is it that is so hard to get this part right, I don't fully understand. They know the voltage/amps that have to move, can't they just size the connectors correctly?

My wife and I only had a Mach-E for 6 months before she was able to easily determine that she will never consider any Ford again for the rest of her life. I was curious how Ford would handle the complaint and wanted to get it in the service center at least once to see everything working properly. Gave up after a few weeks of insanity and Ford is now just dead to me.

I kinda hope this is some sort of strategy to make a ton of profit on cheaply made cars because if these things really cost this much to produce and this is really the best Ford could do, it is simply shocking.

They have a face tracker and fancy blue wheel symbol for their barebones lane-centering to trick everyone into thinking it's anywhere close to Tesla's tech level. The face tracker obviously had far more to do with boosting their stock prices than anything to help the driving experience. It completely fails to even track in sunlight! In reality it's just an adaptive cruise system that waits too late to slow down as it approaches traffic and the lane-centering will lose its tracking on almost everything but a flat, clean, freshly painted lane.

The 2020 Kia Niro's lane centering is far superior to the Mach-E's. But Mach-E further endangers the public with a faulty face-tracker to build overconfidence in its very limited capabilities.

One does have to ponder in awe over the fact that Ford puts this product this bad out to market and has the unfathomable gall to try to charge for subscriptions to its pathetic navigation and bluecruise. ~J.K. Howling

Don't use or need nav (google maps) or BC so I have that going for me. I think by now everyone knows you and your wife really don't like the car. Once you repeat it a number of times most of us get it. After that have no idea what you are trying to contribute to a 2023 HVBJB thread. 3+ years here nothing really dangerous to date.

OT

There are always going to be a certain number of defective ones. Lets hope that this is the case and this is not another trend that goes wild.

is that even comparable to your car? ?
No not really but at this point any car is better than my car. I have had so many warranty claims that I don't even know if the car is going to turn on anymore
