2023 Ordering?

I'm a little confused about ordering methods available right now. I see that one of my local dealers has a configuration tool up that routes a configuration to that dealer. I entered a configuration and got a call from the dealer to confirm it but they didn't request a deposit yet.
- Can the dealer submit the order to Ford now?
- If the dealer submits my configuration will I be able to track it online?
- Should I enter an order myself on ford.com when ordering opens?

My dealer emailed the order guide. Instructed me to email back with my build so they can build the order into the system. And then they will send the build back to me for signature on 8/29

The email I received says retail ordering opens 2PM PDT 8/29, and then tomorrow for online orders.

I asked the salesperson if the order would be trackable when I submitted my build, have not heard back yet.

I've just been told by a dealer that retail ordering is open today but 300A (Premium trim) and extended range battery option are both on hold, meaning they can't be ordered yet. This is from sales guy at my local dealership; time will tell if this info is accurate.

I asked the salesperson if the order would be trackable when I submitted my build, have not heard back yet.

No, you will only have initial tracking if you order a vehicle online, if you order from the dealer you can not track it until you are scheduled with a VIN.

I have a few questions before I figure out how to place the order for 2023 mach e:
1. Is there any advantage to placing the order through the dealer? Why can't I place the order directly through ford.com?
2. I have heard about X-plan pricing, and that if I become a member of Mustang club of america, I will get X-plan pricing. Well, I can become a member, but I heard there is a 90-day wait period. So how does that part work? Do I order 90 day after I become a member, or can I order now, and when I am ready to buy the vehicle, that's when X-plan pricing comes into effect?
3. A related question is do any of you know of any ford dealers who is willing to offer the X-plan pricing? Can you share?

(BTW, I plan to order California Route 1 - I like everything about it, and after test driving a SELECT yesterday, I know I don't need to go to GTPE version. The regular 0-60 in 4.8 sec is enough fun by itself)

1. Online opens tomorrow. You can go in person to a dealer today to place an order too
2. XPlan wont work on MY23 unless you got a MY22 and roll it over
3. You need to call dealers to see if they take it but there will be no xplan unless you are ordering a different ford vehicle

Feb 22 AWD premium ext other here, using z plan. Haven’t heard anything from my dealer yet.

Curious about price protect, if I can change colors and/or add nite pony package without messing things up.

Well it's done. Now for the long wait. Before anyone asks I know this DORA is a preview. It was printed before the order was submitted but rest assured the order was submitted to the order bank. I trust this dealer because they are the same salesperson/dealership that I ordered our Maverick through.

Thanks! If anyone reads this in the Central Illinois area IME you can't go wrong with Uftring Ford. They are one of the rare ones that not only cares about their customers but also knows how to do shit the right way.

Dealer order banks have been open for 5 hours now, how goes it?

Folks, you should be able to order online tomorrow (Tuesday 30th) if your dealer has no idea how to do it in person. I recommend you order online anyway so you have greater transparency. Make sure you print off everything in case they add a markup later.

Reminder: X-plan pricing is not available anymore for new 2023 orders.
