+3kWhr 'unlocked' with a software parameter doesn't make the battery any larger capacity.... it just gives you a thinner margin of error. An extra 10 miles of 'possible' range should be the very last thing you ask for if you want to prevent damage to your battery. Running your battery below 10% is something you should avoid whenever possible.

There are many other beneficial updates in 21p22, but allowing deeper discharge, and/or enabling faster DCFC above 80% are probably not what you want to push.
A software update either added another 3 kWh to my GT's battery, or the Energy to Empty reading is very misleading. Here is the charge to 100% I did yesterday. Energy to Empty was just a hair under 91 kWh when SoCD reached 100%. I took a screenshot of the dashboard at 99% SoCD be but not at 100%.

If Ford added the extra usable capacity to 2021 cars, they'd be bragging about it, not hiding it. It could still happen, but I would guess that's it's pretty low on their list at the moment.
They never bragged about new charging curve being available. It just happened with no announcement and I still don’t see any acknowledgment from them that it exists. I only know Darren promised it a while ago and now it works.

You updated in FDRS?
I had the dealer do all the open FDRS updates available for my car the first week of February. Those updates included the new DCFC charging profile.

"DC fast charge total time improvements". I know they don't specifically say "new charging curve above 80%", but try saying that to an average person and you'll get a 😕 face.

Yes, but this was not sent to owners.

Before the 21P22 update the max charge at 100% was 282 miles for my MME Standard GT charging at home on the level 1 charger. After the update three days ago I got a 290 miles range. Could that be the extra 3KW you mention on this thread? Temperatures outside have been between 85 and 94 degrees.

Mike, how does one get this status view - the various temp/voltage metrics?

You need a OBDII reader and the CarScanner Android or iOS app. I purchased the app to remove ads and any other limitations, but it is cheap. The OBDII reader I use: https://www.walmart.com/ip/VeePeak-...atible-1996-Above-Cars-Light-Trucks/954799575

You don't want to leave the OBDII reader connected when not in use because it can be hacked via the Bluetooth signal, but once you are connected with your phone it is secure. The data you can get from it is amazing. And the CarScanner app is really the best one I have seen. There are lots of pre-built dashboards for the MME included with the app.

My car had 21P22 performed in April.
Still shows 88kWh at 100% displayed.
Readings taken today. Ambient around 105F or so...

I took this pic after the bluecruise 2.7.2 update but before the recall update.

69.96kwh / 76.24% = 91.76kwh at 100%

My BlueCruise update was 2.8.2. What I did notice that my fast charging speed after 21P22 dropped at 80% to 39 kWh. It used to drop to 11 - 12 kWh at 80%

To calculate usable kWh, the formula is 69.96 / 79 = 88.56 kWh to empty.

Most recent Power Up on my car is 2.8.3

Can we get a 2022 ER MME to report energy to empty at 100%? If the 22s are reporting 91ish maximum, then I say those of us who are updating our modules also have the extra capacity.

I have measured around 91 kWh to empty multiple times since I updated in Feb and got the 80%+ charge speed improvement.

Come on 2022 owners! What are you measuring?

Disagreed. But you can do it as you wish. The last 3 are past 0% As discussed above. Granted this could be wrong and I’m not gonna go Kyle Conners it to find out.
