I took my car into the dealer today to get the windshield recall done. They weren't able to do that, but they did some software updates. Here is a scan of what was done.

Is there any way to know what each of these actually does? (I find it interested that there are 4 labeled "Door Control Module X"!)

Thanks.

How many doors does your car have? ;)
4. Does this mean that there are actually four separate software modules, one for each door? Seems kind of inefficient!

Right, makes sense and that was my understanding.
This way you can choose which of your doors you want to have increased robustness. I couldn't get any of the 4 door control modules to update, so mine are currently stuck with a normal level of robustness. ?

I would guess it fixes the issue of having to open the drivers door first in order to open other doors.
Maybe my e-latch doors are now more robust in some unknown way but, after applying the updates, they work even less reliably than they did before.
