Well since this is now a medical thread ...

Front tooth (medical term, bugs bunny tooth). Broke it a 1/8" down from the gum so they just built it up. Worked well for 25 years then they said I needed a root canal and a crown. So that was done by a general dentist. Went back 6 months later and the abscess grew. Said I needed the tooth next to it done. So he did that one. 6 months later same thing, so he sent me to an Endodontist who said he might have to slice open my mouth and scrape shit out ... I wasn't too thrilled so he said let's try re-doing those 2 root canals again first. That was about 5 months ago... sooo time will tell.

@WyldStallyn it's like updated getting pulled ... minus well continue the trend.
Off topic (again): Glad it worked out with the Endodontist. I performed thousands of root canals and hundreds of surgeries when I practiced and my patients weren't thrilled at the thought of surgery either. If you do need the surgery (apical curettage/apicoectomy/retrograde filling) it's not really that bad on a maxillary incisor and if you're really apprehensive ask for nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia in addition to the local anesthetics. Now back to topic. End of dental thread.

If you bring the Twinkies I'll solve it immediately. Just need a piece of string, FDRS (Ford Dental Removal System), and a Mach-E. If you're lucky I'll get the HVBJB failure first.
Ok you added that in after as an edit ... but it has to be by far the funniest thing I've seen on here in a while. Thanks for that laugh. I needed some comic relief on this thread.

I didn't get the edit in quickly enough. I'm glad you saw it.

My 4th attempt at the recall OTA just failed. No previous issues with updates. Good cell and wi-fi signals. Any thoughts?

Wait you mean that the OTA didn't work??? Are you trying to start a conspiracy?

Take it to the dealer, they might have to manually apply them.

Thanks for the reply.

Other than Elvis being beamed up by aliens, I refrain from conspiracy theories 😎.

I have zero evidence regarding its relevance to this update, but I think some OTAs (even though they are much faster than doing updates via FDRS the old school way) still require your 12V battery to be above a certain SOC before they execute. Certainly seems plausible for a powertrain module update. Has your car spent most of its time parked recently? If so, might be worth going for a good drive (but not too fast it would seem) to give the HVB a chance to top off the 12V. But that's all I've got...

Unless you get a Tesla or Rivian, you'll probably not even get OTA updates on your next car.
Pretty much all the issues I as having with my Job 1 were fixed by OTA updates, I’ve never had the dealer update my car. So it’s working for early vehicles, it’s getting kinda crazy how long it’s taking to get these to Job 2 though.

My 2021 Job 2 MME received two OTAs about a month ago, the first OTAs for me. Of course, still waiting for the recall OTA.

One of the updates was the BlueCruise one, but my car doesn't have BlueCruise. Nice.

2021 Job 2? I thought they all came with Blue Cruise Enabled? I had a select that was built in Jul 21 and it had it. That was when Job 2 started.

Another forum member kindly ran my VIN to see why the OTA failed. It was related to the LVB so your assessment is spot on. If I wasn’t already charging I would be right now. Thanks for the response.

He means he doesn’t have BlueCruise hardware.
And I believe it is correct that Job 2 cars already had it enabled.

I worded it poorly, it was the BlueCruise *map* update.
