This has been open since Jan ’26, all other OTA recalls have automatically applied … this one seems not have … is it just us, or is this common for this particular recall?

Well, that’s the odd thing. Since auto updates are enabled, and the MachE’s settings/software update menu says its up to date … but the Ford app continues to report “Active recalls” “25c71 ….” made me wonder if there was a recall issued but not yet a sw update … hence my asking the community ;>

Of course, because its sw … it could be any of a number of bugs (front/backend communication failures come to mind). We’re only a month away from a scheduled service interval, so I’ll engage the Dealer then, but was curious about what others have seen.

The dealer had to come out with mobile service and apply this update in my driveway. The bonus was I got topped off on windshield wiper fluid with this free service call haha

Yup. I believe since it s a recall that the dealer has to do it. Ford mobile service took care of it for me, and I actually learned how to take off the inside cover (without breaking it) in case I ever had to access the batt terminals or the HVB disconnect. Mobile service has been out twice now. Great service. And actually now that I think about it, my dealer proactively contacted me to schedule the service on both occasions.

It was the same for me too. The dealer called me to setup the recall service via mobile service. Very easy process.

Update was supposed to be available in April, but that doesn't mean it was OTA in April. May never have been OTA.

That's not correct. Yes, some updates cannot be done over the air, but recalls can be done just like any other update, unless the update can't be done OTA, which has nothing to do with it being a recall. Just some updates cannot be OTA.

Dealer proactively contacted you to a) get service revenue and b) get the additional revenue from Ford for a mobile service call...
