3.29.0 Fordpass update just released

Yes I did all that. The schedule appears in the app, but the car is not following it. I'll play with it some more later.

Updated 1 android and 1 iphone and both boot and paak is working fine on both.

The car reset the main monitor to auto (was a sh!tty white) and I set it back to dark. happened right away this time.
The motion sensor notification every time you turn off was on again and set it back off.
Carplay booted considerably faster.

Plugged in car @31% and app popped up waiting to charge. Will see what it does by tomorrow.

Both phones and car display charging schedule as the same and unchanged.

All appears to be working fine here.

Android! I went into the playstore, looked up fordpass, about this app, all the way at the bottom it says see more (permissions) and next to biometric (hardware) it says NEW. So it must be a new permission

I didn't dig that deep on the Play Store. I found this under permissions on my phone. Wonder what they're going to use that for. ?

Probably just for authentication when you log in the first time. Not super useful since you typically only log into the app once.

I updated on Android 11 and it seems like maybe the app isn't hitting the battery as hard. My phone isn't hot to the touch, and Fordpass isn't the top battery user.

Feels like progress maybe.

After updating the app (Pixel 5) and left PaaK running in the background things looked CRAZY good.

After coming back from lunch it took a noticeable dip of 3% in about 2 hours. Even if I round that down to 1% per hour that is still too high, but that is still night and day better than it was in prior versions.

I think the battery drain really kicks in when you connect to the car, then disconnect. When the connection is severed it aggressively looks to reconnect. The PaaK wasn't aggressively checking this time since I was already at work with I updated the app. Tomorrow I'll have a better benchmark against my theory. If I'm right, the battery drain will be around 15% after 9 hours. I like being right, but I hope for all of our sakes I'm dead wrong?.

Tell Ford to build this! Man, I really hate their app. This would be much better.

They should even get rid of the drop down box for what car you drive. Yes I understand families can have more than 1 FORD car but to me, I'd prefer to be allowed a separate ICON on the homepage for each car. It would be on my homepage, hit BLACK Mach E or WHITE Mach E to pick if I want to drive the black car or white car. Having the pull down makes it too many button clicks to do anything. Open app, hit drop down, select car, wait, hit REMOTE START. Instead of pick the correct ICON on homepage, hit REMOTE START.

I don't want to jinx things but since 3.29.0 everything seems to be working better than ever. I will likely eat those words at some point but I made 2 trips so far and I can actually open the driver door without opening the back passenger door first. I also disconnected the battery yesterday and that likely fixed it as well.

Its strange you have to open the back passenger door before the front door... for me its the opposite. I have to open the front door before opening the back door. Looking forward to getting the 3.29 update when it's available for me.
