3.9 m kWh isn’t that difficult an average to hit…

I'll add a little different perspective. I'm averaging 2.8 MPK lifetime (246 range projection), AWD ER. That's on 6000 miles lifetime. But 4000 of those miles are road trip on mostly 75-80 MPH interstates across CO/UT/NV.

Pretty much around EPA (270) minus 10% for so much high speed road tripping in the mix.

Not at 40mph. At 70 mph it's a little more difficult :D. My route 1 got 3.3 mi/kwh last saturday doing a sustained 70 to 72 mph with the A/C set for 72 degrees. Without the A/C it probably would have been 3.5.

These results are pretty interesting. I averaged 3.7 mi/kWh over 500 miles, 90% of it freeway driving at 70+ mph, while going to Palm Springs recently. The other 10% was driving around town in Palm Springs for short durations with AC blasting. Driving out to Riverside last weekend I averaged 3.5 mi/kWh almost entirely freeway, again 70+ mph.

To date we have averaged 3.9 mi/kWh, which is likely 60/40 highway/surface streets.

It's surprising how a little city driving can improve mi/kwh efficiency. For the number above it was all highway with ACC at 72 - except for the few times I had to slow down for traffic, tollbooths, and to cross a bridge (50 mph speed limit). The temps were also in the 90's, so the A/C was likely running for the whole time. Being a big dummy, I didn't grab a snapshot of the tripometer screen but I think it said the climate control used around 5%, which would give a 3.5 mi/kwh without it.

So you're consistently getting 3.9 mi/kwh?
To be fair the standard range RWD I rented on turo I had pretty much 50/50 city and highway driving with also getting on it multiple times since I was test driving it for a day, I averaged 3.7m/kwh for the full day of driving. I looked at the total milage usage for the car since he bought it, I'm sure other people were also goofing around in it on their rental days too and the total mileage on the car after something like 1500 miles was also 3.7m/kwh. I was super impressed. That's here in FL probably 90 degrees the day I had it and left th ac on 72 the whole time.
