Mine has this

I got my '22 ER AWD in September and just received the first OTA update (at least that I recall seeing) today. Whoopdedoo - I'm no updated to the July 2022 DC Fast Charging. WTF?
Should I try all the wacky procedures that folks are recommending on this thread to "encourage" updates?

That‘s up to you, but it won’t make a difference.
Can confirm, tried the wacky procedures and nothing happened. Still stuck on 3.6.1 despite being EA. Still waiting for Ford to email me back after I gave them my VIN last Wednesday.

I got four updates in a row last week, starting at 3.5.2 and ending with 3.5.4, and nothing since then. Hopefully Ford is getting ready to start sending the subsequent OTAs to everyone still stuck on 3.5.4.

My 4.1.1 came the same way. Got home 4 pm ish (no update) and left the house at 5:30ish and the update was installed.

Any word on if your battery has to be above a certain % for OTA to install? Mine has been low the past few days since 4.1.1
Your 12v battery does need to be at a certain level, and if it's not, you'll get an alert that the update could not be completed. Go drive the car for an hour or so to charge up the 12v, then allow the update to continue.

In a world where not everybody cares about these updates but some people care a lot - The current approach of shotgun top down updates with months or years between first and last cars updated is a moronic terrible solution.

  • Those who don't care... don't care. There is no upside for Ford.
  • Those who do care are aggravated by the delays. Turns a positive into a negative for those most engaged.

Ford really needs to get to an opt in and update on demand OTA model.

Or just leave it on. You don't need to be driving for the 12V to get charged.

My car is still stuck on 3.5.3 :(

I got the 3.5.2 > 3.5.3 update back in November and nothing since then. Do you get bumped to 4.1.2 directly or do you have to make a journey from 3.5.3 > 3.6.1 > 4.1.1 > 4.1.2? At this rate, I'd probably get the update in 2024.

For the people that got these updates past 3.6.1, did anyone have Automatic updates turned off to where you need to hit Accept? I like doing it this way because I can control where I am when the update is queued. I wonder if they changed anything on who is being served this update if auto updates are turned off.

"Update not ready" ( This close! |-| ) But it'll probably be 3.6 as I have no history and it wont let me run the update manully.

I let it sit overnight and keyed on hoping for the best this morning and.. auto update shut its self off. I think the phone app was to blame for that. It’s scheduled nightly, but nope.
Also have a disabled ‘Update Now’ button I can click and get…
