Got the update last night and the car charged to 100% instead of the lower setting for my home charger. I will have to check if I lost my charging locations as mentioned above.

I installed 4.2.6 last night and now my saved charging location is not being recognized as the charge target showed 100% even though the saved location is set to 90%.

To try to fix, I deleted my saved charging location on Fordpass and did a 5% charge. The vehicle didn’t record the “previous location” so I wasn’t able to set it up again. It did show this charge in the “charge log”.

Is this a known bug with 4.2.6?
Same. The car was on my home charger the night of the update and it charged to 100% instead of the 85% limit I set for this location. I hope this is going to be a one-time event and not a bug, as the location charge settings still show this limit in the app.

I had this exact problem and it turned out to be that Ford Pass app settings had changed so that under Charge Settings/Preferred Charge Times/Saved Locations the "use preferred charge settings" radio button was not selected. I clicked that setting and it worked correctly after that.

Hope this helps.

Glenn
I didn't see this change in the settings in Ford Pass. It was still set to "use preferred" after the update, but the car charged to 100% anyway. Kind of bizarre that we're seeing different settings in the app, but the same result.

It happened to me after the update, but then the next charge stopped at my designated level.

I’m not sure if anyone else got this after the update, but my vehicle updated the morning of June 10th and I had the dreaded ‘Stop Safely Now’ failure on the afternoon of June 11. It sat on the side of the road overnight because all the towing companies that showed up refused to tow it/jump the 12V battery. (It didn’t help that a massive storm blew through right after it broke down). Finally, the dealer we purchased it from was able to get a towing company that was able to jump the 12V and safely tow it to the dealership this morning. The weirdest thing is that it was able to be driven onto the tow truck ramp this morning, before again getting the stop safely now issue after being unloaded at the dealership. I’m still dealing with setting up the case, etc.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has had issues in the aftermath of the update. Just trying to think of a reason why it would give an error like this after working fine for 9 months!

I bet your problem is completely unrelated to the update. It's just coincidence. Hopefully your dealer will figure it out quickly.

This is pretty common and I have experienced it as well. Once the car is turned off and unplugged for 15 minutes or so, it will be back to normal. You might have to switch it back to your profile.

I lost all FM radio settings somehow. I think the DCFC update did it. But I do notice in whisper it's not as aggressive when taking my foot off in 1pd. Like I have to relearn my braking distance as i've had to jump on the brake pedal more than once since I got the update. This does in turn not put me forward in the seat like it used to.

Started a different thread yesterday about charging issues. I got 4.2.3 Last week and my home location disappeared from FP and car. Now I can only charge to 100% when I plug in and can’t add my home to either FP or car. Don’t even have 4.2.6. Needless to say I don’t have scheduling or battery preconditioning with no schedule and have to manually stop charging at preferred 90%.

I had the same issue. It fixed itself after one or two charges.

The antigravity ground effect field was adjusted in this update. That is giving you the smoother ride.

Drove it for the first time since the update this morning. Had charged to 100% despite set to 80%. Beeped incessantly (backup obstacle alert) coming out of the garage (I have backup assist off, is this a new “feature”?) though it did not beep when I checked it when I got to work.
Coming down the hill in 1PD, something really weird happens when I stop at the bottom of a downhill grade- it momentarily stops slowing down and lurches to a stop despite me being off the pedal. It is alarming and feels like the brakes fail for a moment each time, then it stops. It is very uncomfortable and alarming each time.
Agree with others that steering feels unwelcomingly looser in Engage, I also checked the drive mode instinctively to see if it had been changed.
Hoping that these things get corrected. Why change the feel/drive of a car that we are all used to? Anyone ask for this?

Can confirm for me at least the brake action at crawling speeds is *much* improved. In Engage it always felt like it took too long for the friction brakes to deploy - regen was doing nothing to slow the car. I'd finally given more input on the pedal and I'd lurch to an immediate stop. Embarrassing.

Now it's perfect - seems like under 10km / h (5 mph-ish) it's all friction all the time. Perfect.

An update: I think something weird was going on this morning, that has been corrected. I rebooted the SYNC system after work (not sure if this does anything for driving controls, but I did it) and everything seemed back to normal for my drive home, no more lurching forward after my foot was off the pedal. Steering seemed back to normal.
In case anyone else has trouble for the first drive after the update.
