The auto-updates schedule only applies to updates that require the vehicle to be parked and inhibited while it installs. 6.1.4.0 and any other non-inhibit update will install while the car is on/driving regardless of what you have the schedule set to.Ive had overnight updates .... however 6.14 occurred while I was driving yesterday.
I do check my wifi connection to the car is configured correctly every couple weeks,
Why it didnt happen at the scheduled 2am 'check for updates' Ive set, I dunno, unless it downloaded, and didnt install till I was driving due to marginal 12V battery level while parked at night ???? just a wild guess
I am also convinced that connected to ho.e wifi does not matter. I have noticed the last few updates have occurred while the car was outside for awhile. The whole thing about having your car connected to Wifi seems to be somewhat of a myth. Other's on this forum have stated that the Mach E only receives downloads from Ford while you are driving the car, and in an area that receives good AT&T Wireless coverage. I did not believe this initially. But after owning my car for several months now, I can honestly say that every update my car has received, has been received while driving. The update does usually install overnight at the scheduled time. But as far as the actual download from Ford, it only seems to happen while driving. And no, you do not need to keep the car on overnight.
EDIT - prior to the MME, I had a 2020 Escape Hybrid, which actually did receive updates while connected to WiFi.
I think the easiest way to tell between 1.2 and 1.3/1.4 is if the lane changing options are available in your settings. So I’ve recently received 6.2 like some others here how do you know when the blue cruise is updated? What do you look for the update version?
I’ll go look thank youI think the easiest way to tell between 1.2 and 1.3/1.4 is if the lane changing options are available in your settings.
1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 all have lane change assist.I think the easiest way to tell between 1.2 and 1.3/1.4 is if the lane changing options are available in your settings.
I wasn’t 100% sure where to look, but I looked under Driver assistance, correction and this is what I have. I noticed one thing I didn’t start the car. I just had the car on every time I turned the auto hold on. It kept turning off automatically. I’m charging the car so I didn’t wanna start it.1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 all have lane change assist.
Click cruise control in that same screen.I wasn’t 100% sure where to look, but I looked under Driver assistance, correction and this is what I have. I noticed one thing I didn’t start the car. I did after I realized I should’ve and what exactly would I be looking for there? That would have anything to do with the blue Cruise version?Click cruise control in that same screen.
Updates download via the car’s AT&T cellular service. They install overnight, or whatever time your schedule is set for, when the update is an inhibit update. It has already downloaded the update though.Ive had overnight updates .... however 6.14 occurred while I was driving yesterday.
Oh, I misunderstood what you were looking for. You won't find that there. I pulled up your window sticker and your car shipped with 1.2.I did after I realized I should’ve and what exactly would I be looking for there? That would have anything to do with the blue Cruise version?
