i think the govt will intervene on a railroad strike - the CPI numbers today were still very high and market is selling off on that. A massive railroad strike would only stoke more inflation
I'm inclined to agree. A disruption of the rail system would cause a major supply chain shock that would exacerbate inflation. I don't see the government allowing it.

My apologies. Like twitter and Facebook, my phone has some automagic features. Changes Biden to Brandon.

Strike prep is already happening. Can’t bury our heads and not think our car delivery will not be impacted.

“Some freight carriers have begun limiting services, suspending hazardous material shipments and parking trains in what appears to be preparations for a lockout. Amtrak, which carries passengers on freight lines, canceled some long-distance routes Monday”

Sure, it might, or it might not. I think this is prime for an 11th hour deal

Today, I am at 280 days of waiting and do not have a build date, modules, or "built/shipped" notice. My prem AWD ER MME order was scheduled on 7/21 (8.5 months after order) for week of 9/19 (e.g. two months later), later moved up to 9/12 week. VIN 500XX. Got window sticker 9/2, batch 8071 562/1350. 9/5 build week MME units seem built and shipped with assembly of 8071 batch now underway (based on low numbers of forum folks reporting same). Batch 8156 should also start assembly this week, but no forum member has reported "got modules" for this batch, yet.

Approximately 7,500 MME units would have been assembled in the last 4 weeks (counting the 9/12 week). Assuming transportation to dealers typically takes 4 weeks. These 7500 MME units, strung out between Cuautitlan and their respective dealer destinations, could be "frozen" in place/storage lots if the railroad strike began 9/16. It's unknown how much/where train transportation could be switched over to overloaded truck industry or if they may have sympathy strike. Maybe Cuautitlan could continue to produce MMEs and fill up local storage lots. It is unknown if there is a truck-based alternative to Kansas City Southern RR in Mexico or if the railroad crews in Mexico would join the strike, etc. So many possibilities. Gives me a headache thinking about all the possibilities. Nothing to do but wait and see and wait and wait.
Enthusiasm becomes anxiety/frustration.

Yeah its very unpredictable on the railroad situation. Seems like this could be a much longer wait than expected for delivery on top of a much longer wait to get it built

For those asking earlier whether they produce them in order, 431/1350 (8071), so sadly (for me, but congrats to all those seeing movement), that's a No.

I'm sure the production order is further grouped by color, trim, interior, maybe even destination. Looks like they are getting to reds. @Bigfeets - what color is your interior? I'm the same color and config as u, but I have light grey interior. I'm batch 8071 438/1350, so I'm guessing mine would be right next to yours unless we had an interior difference. No modules yet for me.

RedDragon - I have a Rapid Red Premium AWD ER with Light Grey interior [ 8156 1312/1441 ] and no modules are showing for me yet. Maybe our cars will be assembly line neighbors? :D
