We took delivery yesterday of our electric Pony. I have to say that the folks at Fox Ford in Chicago were great.
2 big things:

• Had all the paperwork ready. We were there for 45 minutes, with 0 pressure on extras.
• They charged us the price from the order date, not the increased sticker price. As the finance manager said "Ford will pay us in a few weeks, we're not going to ask you to float that.".

My date range moved up from 10/17-10/23 to 10/16-10/22, so I figured it had to be on the move from the Midwest. Showed up yesterday and she’s home now. I started out in “Engaged”, but I have a fondness for acceleration so it didn’t take long to switch to “Unbridled”. The only odd thing I’ve noticed is that the wipers give a swipe randomly. It’s happened three times since last night. Rain Sensing is on, but I want to use that. She feels solid and fun. I ordered mine in early February and feel it was worth the wait. Finger crossed for the rest of you getting yours soon too.

Well - it finally arrived at the dealer today!! Will be picking it up on Friday as I'm on vacation on the north shore of Lake Superior this week.

Still stuck in Kansas City, theres still a small possibility of getting it inside the window but I am thinking on Nov 3rd I will get a delivery delayed notice

Yeah thats about what it feels like. I did decide to call ford on this yesterday and basically got the response that no one can do anything about anything. Seems a little worthless, but also seems like ford has a lot of work to do and no one is actually doing anything in terms of fixing their tracking and delivery process.

Its clearly setup for delivering cars to dealers to sit on the lot and sell, not to deliver cars for orders by individuals.

Looks great, congrats! About how long did your journey take from Kansas City to Salt Lake (and from SLC to Provo)? Were you able to tell when it left KC or were you not able to tell until it hit the next junction? I'm still camped in KC (ramp 6R - Richard-Gebaur) and think my Oct 31st date may be in jeopardy.

Were you able to tell when it left KC or were you not able to tell until it hit the next junction? I'm still camped in KC (ramp 6R - Richard-Gebaur) and think my Oct 31st date may be in jeopardy.

I don't perfectly remember. I think it was loaded on the train car by Oct 8, might have actually made the journey Oct 10 or 11, and definitely arrived and Ford emailed me to finalize cart on Oct 18, purchased Oct 19.

Btw, hound them for Ford Options if that's what you want. It took hours, but I finally convinced them Ford Options exists and got the GT 1.4% interest and $1000 rebate.

Those in Southern CA have an alternative route, but there are 2 UP track renewal projects that "may impact shipment" along the route from KC to me. Last one has a scheduled end date of 11/09 which aligns with my delay. I'm going to go with it - will at least give me permission to stop checking.

Man, if this is preventing rail traffic on those lines its gonna be a while. Assuming those are updated lots of the projects havent even started and were supposed to be done at the end of Oct.
