I’m getting strange tracking location results for my railcar. COER 900623
Sunday morning: in Missouri
Sunday night and Monday morning: in Jacksonville, FL
I’m wondering if Ford chat gave me the wrong railcar number though I can’t imagine the train moving from MO to FL in the same day.

Yes that does seem odd, but I'm a not logistics person. Mine when through Ohio, WV, Virginia (Roanoke), then to the Winston Salem rail yard.

Good news from the West Coast ! My car has arrived at the Richmond, CA railyard as of 10/20. Expected ETA to the dealership is 10/28. Original ETA was 10/17 to 10/23, so it wasn't that far off.

With that said, since everyone is expecting their cars soon or has already gotten them -

Did anyone ...

A. Get an extended warranty through Ford? And if so, how much?
B. Is anyone planning on doing PPF/Ceramic Coating?

I went in saying I wouldn't and then got A & B on the spot ?‍. Both policies are through Zurich, not Ford. I've had really good experiences with them in the past. I plan to keep this long-term so decided to go for it. Covered for 10 years/100,000 miles. The warranty was $4K and the ceramic coating/interior protection + warrany was $800. Lots of little things to break, outside of the EV components that concerned me enough. These policies are pro-rated so if we get rid of the car we can get some money back.

For ceramic coating, maybe Ford meant 1200 for interior only? I was going to do PPF in the front areas and then ceramic coating on everything behind that. Quotes in my area for this are approx $2500

It's good to know they are prorated. Thanks for that tidbit of info. I am not familiar with the plans - do you know off the top what A&B covers? And do you remember what other options/pricing there were?

I also thought I was not going to get the extended warranty and then I did.
For me it was 8 years / 100000 miles. They said usually was 8000$, got for 5000. Not sure if it is a good price or not. ?
It includes a lot of things but not things due to usage (like tires, etc). It does cover all the electronics though. They give me some info, at home I can try to do a picture. Mine it is through ford
I didn't know about the coating and they didn't offer.

I was given a bad railcar number. Tracking the correct number it is currently located in eastern MO.

I'll pull up what I have later and share. I think a lot of it comes down to peace of mind and knowing you'll always keep your car in "like new" condition regardless. I've purchased warranties before and never used them so who knows. I figured the Mach-E is still relatively new and may have more issues than other cars that have been around longer.

For those looking at extended warranty, consider getting Ford ESP through one of the online sellers such as Zeigler, Flood, lombard and Granger. Your dealer will most likely add a very significant markup if bought when taking delivery. I believe you can buy at any time while the original 3 yr/36k factory warranty is still valid.

Yeah, this is my sentiment. Its new and we already saw the HVBJB issue happen. That and this car is a decent investment, so I am leaning towards some peace of mind.
