Picked it up today!
Here was my experience at Apple Ford of Red Lion in PA:
The dealer was able to honor both the original MSRP and plan. So that was a big win off the bat not have to deal with waiting for a $2000 price protection check that may have never shown up.
Then some roadbumps...they had no idea what Ford Options was and almost had me signing lease paperwork but I reiterated "I do NOT want to lease the vehicle". I showed them the basic Ford Options web page and then they dissappeared for a while investigating. They came back stating they were unable to do ford options due to limitations with their system and would be a MONTH wait if I insisted on that route. The interest in this Options plan was communicated 2 months before vehicle arrived via email exchange so it wasn't a last minute thing on my part.
Waiting any longer was not an option for me so I was able convince them to up the trade in by 500$ to compensate for the missed options incentive. Still a loss on my end of $500 but I'll take it with all of the other horror stories I have heard.
Lastly I was shown a 3.9% interest rate for traditional financing. Asked for Vincent from time of order to get what I thought would have been 2.7%. Ended up getting 1.9 @ 60mo.
Also, had to remind them doc fee was capped at 100 for xplan.
Overall, not a terrible experience and excited that the 11 months wait is over!
