Wanted to throw this out there.

For traditional Fords there is a difference in price between MSRP and invoice price. For the Mustang Mach-E there IS no difference (as of right now). Dealers are going to be paying MSRP as the traditional “invoice” price, and will be credited back for plan pricing. That’s as of right now. It has changed a few times, it’ll probably change again. But as of right now MSRP is a dealers invoice.

It’s called e-invoice. There was a dealer bulletin about it and the request not to advertise below MSRP.

Smoke screens to confuse the buyer further, we will never know if they keep changing it around. If that's true and holds that's fine but I don't understand how they can compete in Tesla dominated market with such less than upfront pricing structures. Just sell the car at 1 price for all as a locked price. The stealer still will be able to sell after market crap, service plans and of course the finance deal. So just stop with MSRP / Dealer invoice confusion and call it, "One Price", gain the trust again of the buyer / dealer relationship. Start over, hit the reset as they have lots of gain and even more to lose on this. Ford is still on the decline and need to jump start the brand or it's not going to make it out of this decade.

Does the X plan pricing factor in before or after the federal tax credit is added in?

The X plan pricing has nothing to do with the federal tax credit. They are separate things. So the X plan price is based on MSRP only.

I agree, but then they’ll get such an uproar from people that feel entitled or are used to their discounts. Or people that won’t buy without a discount or rebates because they’ve been conditioned to buy that way.

A dealer bulletin. The article that was linked above isn’t totally right though, there are provisions that penalize dealers that fail to stick to the advertising price (MSRP) that Ford wants.

Yes, there are provisions that penalize a dealer for advertising a Mach-E for less than MSRP (eInvoice). But to be clear despite the restriction on advertising, dealers can transact with the customer at any price they choose (at, above, or below MSRP).

Correct, but at least people won’t be coming in on advertised prices that they could never hope to get to.

Exactly. Ford can SUGGEST but dealers can do whatever. What this does is make sure things are above board. The concept of advertising a car for ridiculously low will not happen.

What do we think lease prices will be? I ordered a premium long range AWD. Any idea on a monthly payment?
