Adding climate controls directly to FordPass app?

Pre-setting the climate while in the car seems a little backwards. Understanding most answers here are simply speculation, but is there any possibility they could add climate control directly to the FordPass app? It would appear communication and control to the entire system is available, they're just limiting what can/cannot be managed through the app.

Am I missing something important here?

Remote start has always been this way, so I wouldn't look for it to change.

You can select auto (72 degrees) or last, in the car.

If you set a departure time in the app, you can select cool / medium / warm / off.
