On my 2022 Mach-e, when I have the air-con on low and the fans on high, the air-con motor is very loud and sends vibrations through the driving peddles. Is this normal?

Hey Matt, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E's air conditioner concern on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Mine does that as well. I did some searching a while back and concluded that was normal. Sounds like a jet engine taking off (can feel the vibrations thru the pedal) but dies down after a few minutes.
If it is an issue that Ford fixes please post details.

The compressor ramps up hard and generally backs off after a minute or two. I didn't really notice the startup noise last summer, so I'm wondering if this was an OTA optimization to get colder air to the cabin faster.

My GT has had this problem. Toggling AC on/off will cause the loud roar/hum and vibrations to start/stop accordingly. It's a very strange thing with a car that should be relatively quiet.

I love the Mach-E's air conditioner, it is much more powerful than most vehicles. But it definitely is also quite loud if you have Max A/C on.

Doesn't have to be Max AC to make the loud noise on mine. As noted above, it's only loud for a few minutes when I first start then backs down.

Mine makes a raucous noise without the "max" turned on, just like what RSH said.

I get that too in the summer, if I have even the 1 out of 3 automode selected, and my temperature is set for Lo.

I think the vehicle is deciding on a hot day that the temperature difference is so great, it really has to ramp the a/c up.

If you want the compressor to back off a bit, if you raise the temperature a few clicks up from Lo, that usually gets it to relax and quiet down a bit.

Good thoughts! Unfortunately, I don't use "max" and I do not leave my temp set to "Lo" -- It's actually set to between 74 and 76 degrees most often.

Regardles - I'm actually not bothered by the noise as much as feeling a vibration through the accelerator pedal. :)
