this is the best answer I’ve ever heard.

Also can now just buy and pay for car online and skip the dealership sales fight and finance people.

Question about alarms

, when I go inside with a dog still inside, it seems impossible to turn off the motion sensors…… even though I always answer the pop up YES when asks “do you wish to disable the motion sensor?”

I finally got so I just ignore the alarm as it goes off after a while.

Is you car reasonably up-to-date with OTA software updates? The sensor disable was broken with earlier software but was fixed with updates somewhere along the way.

Two other things you may try:
1. Leave the car 'on' and lock the door on the outside. Climate control stays on (for up to 30 mins before car auto-shuts-off) and car is secure, so it's like an unofficial "pet mode."
2. Try turning off the alarm sensors within the car settings instead of with the pop-up. This still resets every time the car ignition is cycled, so you have to do it every time. Be sure to close the settings window to make sure the setting "takes" before turning off the car.

We've pretty much come to the conclusion that the burglar alarm is pathetically inept. I'm looking to replace the siren only. In doing a search I've found one by ford but with virtually no description of it's sound or whether it is a simple replacement for the already inept siren. Has anybody changed that out with/without success?

I have given up trying to get the alarm to turn off. Also the annoying honk every time I walk away and of course the obnoxious back up beep especially at four in the morning leaving for work… my neighbor really like that one.
