Am I getting a ticket?!?!?

My only police stop was for the usual reason.

The conversation about "how do you like the car?" started AFTER I was handed the ticket. (not the best conversation starter)

I was cutting through an alley downtown, on the way to the County Clerk’s office for early voting. When I reached the intersection of the alley and the main street, a cop parked at that corner jumped out of his cruiser and waved me to stop! Oh no! Was I going the wrong way in a one-way alley?!? What is happening here?!?!

I rolled down the window, and politely asked, “Is there a problem, Officer?” He quickly smiled, and responded, “No, not at all. I have been trying to find a Mustang Mach-E for months, and just wanted to take a picture of your car.” I was relieved, and more than happy to agree. He then took a bunch of pictures, from every possible angle, all the time raving about how much he loved the car. He asked a bunch of questions about how we liked our car, and we shared our enthusiastic approval. I encouraged him to go online and place an order for a 2023 ASAP, which he said he intended to do. He also loved all my exterior modifications (stripes, painted calipers, lighted pony), so he obviously has impeccable taste

Not seeing many on the road her in NY... although yesterday had a bizzarro world moment when stopped at a light behind ANOTHER Star White GT! Otherwise see maybe 20 teslas for every MME.

Don't know where in NY you are but here on LI, while they're still pretty rare, I've definitely noticed the numbers going up. Before I got mine it was hard to find one on the road. Now I'm not surprised if I see another 1 every day on my commute.

That said, one day I did see 4(!) just on my way to work. But that was also the same day I got rear ended so maybe it was a bad omen.

Also I'm going to be the party pooper and say I hope a cop never pulls me over for something "good". Screw that. I don't need to have my adrenaline and anxiety spike just for a cop to compliment my car. Do it off duty and out of uniform.

I think this is cool story. Police are people too and I think positive interaction with the police is a great thing. If you think about it, most of us only talk to the police if we have had an issue or if we are getting a speeding ticket or other moving violation. Both are negative experiences. Yes, this officer did stop for his own personal reason but part of their job is community relations. Let just say he was on his 15 minute break and call it good. I think this was a positive step toward meeting @PupSideDown and connecting with the public.

Hello to you! Honestly, I am not seeing them that frequently. Maybe once or twice a week? Thats not a bad thing IMHO - I like that it is somewhat exclusive, LOL. Teslas are a dime a dozen around here!

ME's still a pretty rare sight around me but I have noticed more in the last month or so. But no other GT's except mine since I got it seven months ago. Almost all I see are premiums.
