2 Mach E isn’t crazy because I’m about to do the same.

Currently a one car household with a Mach E. My family is looking to get a second car, and my wife has decided to get a used Mach E

I am in the same boat! My wife has a Mech e GT and I am grabbing it all the time and whoever we go out together it’s always in the Mach e. I have 6 vehicles so we have a Trail Hawk for long trips and towing. I would need to get rid of my C7 to free up garage and charging space but I am getting a bit long in the tooth for the C7 anyway and it’s increasingly hard to get out of it. It will be tough to sign over the C7 but it may happen this fall. She may order a green one and I would grab her Cyber Orange GT. She does not need the GT attributes.

Been a 2 MME family since March of 21. Not crazy at all. Well I may be, but the idea is not.
Not crazy at all, Rod! Sometimes you can't get enough of a good thing! And those are two very good things.

I have a 21 Mach Ex & my wife has the Escape Titanium Hybrid (45-50 mpg). So we are covered for long trips if needed. AND the Escape we Flat Tow with our RV. Works great for us.

‘21 select SR tech/comfort package. Ford options program due in sept

been debating upgrading to a ‘24 premium ER

spouse said to me tonight “instead of trading in your car, what if we sold mine and I took yours”. She has a ‘20 escape titanium.

would I be crazy to get 2 mach e’s? I was thinking for her next car do a PHEV to have gas as an option if needed… hadn’t considered this

ford is offering a free wall charger in NY… so that’d save a few bucks there too
Not crazy at all, we have 2 and love them. Would never go back to the old tech of gas

If you are thinking of getting a GT, then yes, go for the 2024. If you are going Premium, then I would take a hard look at a 2023 and compare against the 24 - deal and differences. There are some features you will loose on the 24, that the 23 will have. Make sure any of those changes are not important ones for your situation. As others have said, the "new" battery (LFP) is only on the standard range in both 23.5 and 24's. If you are going long-range battery, those are all the "old" battery.
Premium LR AWD 2024 is a significant upgrade in terms of 0-60 (4.1) and torque (500) over the 2023, if you are into that sort of thing.

If you don’t drive more than 150-200 miles in a day. Are perfectly fine with a slightly longer trip if you do, or renting a car on the rare occurrence you need to really go far without extra stops.

why not?

Could also look at 23’s with 0% interest.
IF you have to drive over 150 miles/ day then you need to move closer to where you need to be.

If I could find a 21 cheap enough I'd buy one to replace my aging FFE. My wife's not thrilled about the size of the car but a rwd std range would be fantastic for her.

Personally I agree with that, but have met people who do weirder commutes.
Agreed. If I lived where I actually wanted we'd both have a drive over 70 miles each way. But honestly that's too much driving daily, moreso in this stress inducing area.
