there's another setting for "automatic ambient lighting" that sets it based on the current driving mode. I don't remember if that maybe hides the user choice?
I just checked and it doesn't. ?

Sounds like your car was provisioned with the wrong software.

Contact your dealer service department to get it fixed.

then sadly I think what @JCHLi said earlier is right. You can try a full reset through the settings and see if it magically shows up, but I suspect your dealer will have to do a little poking at the programming.

in theory you could do this yourself with an OBD-II dongle and FORscan or something but honestly I'd just have your dealer do it unless the earlier part of this sentence is something you're 100% comfortable with and understand. shouldn't take too long for your dealer. (*)

(*) "shouldn't" is a key word (**)
(**) and yes you shouldn't have to deal with this at all

Run my F-250 on OBD 24/7 while driving. BUT... I bet ya'll are right. I was the the guy with the April Fool delivery of my Mach-E.. They got it in early AM yesterday, and we took delivery at 4:30pm. So possibly they missed some checks.

Thanks for all the help. I'll talk to the dealer tomorrow.

It became a garage car for me... under 500 miles per year... and then... my son will have his full on DL in 2 months. :O Too much power for a new driver. We needed to have 3 cars, and one of those couldn't be a Roush. lol.

Plus, my wife is WAY into this Mach-E. She loves it. So that is a plus.

Create a “My Key” for him with limits set on what he can do with the car.

He doesn't get to drive it... well at least not much. Funny as heck today though. I let him take it out on the highway with active cruise control/ lane assist, then took him on a highway access road (SL 60mph), new highway, not used by many at all, almost deserted... had him fully stop, fully engage unbridled power, and you should have seen his face light up! :). Did that about 3 times. He gets our old X-5 to drive. 100k now. Headache of a fricken' car. I will never ever but a BMW again. Biggest pieces of junk considering the price you pay and the cost of things that break down that shouldn't have broken down until at least 50k-75k miles later. German engineering. Now that is an oxymoron.

Just an update.. Went to Ford dealer this am as their resident Sync expert was there today. He couldn't find any issues or any settings that needed to be changed. He escalated to Ford. Will update when resolved.

Sounds to me like your car may have gotten the wrong AsBuilt data programmed into it. This tells sync what features your car has or doesn't have. If you edit that you can enable things that weren't optioned on your car, or disable them.
