It's an issue with google maps. If you install the Dec 3 apk manually for google maps and disable auto updates in the playstore it works again.

Thank you for these instructions. I got the Dec 3 update off apkmirror using their app and the distance to charger is now showing again. I live next to the tundra so this feature is quite important at this time of year.

You don't need to sideload. Just uninstall updates on google maps and disable automatic updates. The default version works fine for me. Sounds like an issue that Google needs to fix, not Ford. I did try Waze and had the same problem, though, although they're owned by Google, so who knows.

I know it's a Google issue, but Ford works with Google and must have contacts that can escalate issues with Google since it effects all of Fords customers. I've tried to open tickets on Googles side as well but we get the same silence from their side.

I think you have to wait for the public release from Google.
