I searched around and read a number of topics that seem similar but being new here and new to the Mach-E I want to ask for advice specifically. This AM I got in the car and AA would not connect, fiddled with things and no matter what no joy - killed bluetooth connections on phone, cleared cache, clearged storage, even uninstalled updates on the phone for AA and reupdated all to no avail. On the car side, I was going to remove the phone and re-add but when I go to remove I get the confirmation dialogue but it doesn't actually remove the device. I also turned off car and walked away a while and no change.

So at this point, from reading around, I am guessing either delete my profile in car or do the master reset? FordPass reset wouldn't seem applicable here. Just wondering if anyone had a more specific recommendation before I kill the profile or do the full reset?

Reboot phone.
If that doesn't work, reboot Sync.

Yes, tried several combinations of rebooting the phone and restarting the car including shutting the car off and walking away for a while (20 mins+). All to no avail. Figuring now with the phone showing but not deleting it is bugged and either profile remove or master reset probably necessary.

Mine disconnected on the way into work. Plugged it in via cable and it worked again. I'll check if the wifi link works at lunch.

I tried the cable as well, from phone it seems to connect but in car it says disconnected. Now it is just saying constantly on phone screen in car 'connecting to phone' no-stop - even after powering down and walking away.

Seems either delete profile and re-create, or one or both of the resets (FordPass and master) is necessary.

Hmm, curious - got in the car to go get lunch and it worked. Odd. Seems to be fine now, no reset done.

I have this problem intermittently. It worked great for a while but now its a bit of hit or miss. It works MOST of the time but if it fails, there is no cure until the car if off and you walk away for a period of time.

My 21 disconnect from time to time. It appeared to me sync issue.

Using AA heats my phone a lot, so I stopped using it with my 22 and stopped worrying it gets disconnected. Now I can use both Google maps and Ford navigation at same time, and can report cops along the route.

Mine does this intermittently. Almost exclusively with my wife in the passenger seat.

For me, simply doing a soft reset of Sync does the trick. Don't fiddle with the phone or bluetooth connections/settings. Dont try to reconnect AA. Dont turn car off/on. None of that works.

Just reset Sync. Can even do it while driving - just press and hold down the volume down and advance track buttons on the steering wheel for 5 (or so) seconds. Screen will go black and reboot Sync. Car drives fine while this is happening, though no music, obviously. I did it while parked the first couple of times, but now comfortable doing it while driving.

Once Sync boots up, do nothing. It takes maybe 30 or 60 seconds, but then AA will re-connect. If you had music playing when it stopped working or wouldn't connect, it will pick up where it left off.

This has worked every time I have done it. Maybe 6 times to date. Samsung Galaxy S10 phone, fwiw.

I have to do this after some OTA updates. Wireless Projection won't turn on until I do it.
