Yes, plenty have. Especially when you take into account the $7,500 tax credit. People are getting over what they paid, especially now that 2023s have had a huge price increase.

Just keep in mind you need to pay tax on any profit you make. Short term capital gains if you have it less than a year, long term if over a year

We sold our 2021 for a profit just over a year after buying it, so gain will be long term. A dealer 5 hours away beat all the services, but he now is having challenges unloading the 8 he has had for a few months.

We bought our 22, ordered as a 21, for the same price with the same financing, so that's another few grand. And, two tax credits.

Yes. Purchased a 2021 Premium ER RWD in January 2022 for $56,940 and sold it as a trade-in, in May 2022, for $58,000. Took the profits/equity and applied towards 2022 Mach-E., which was sold with X-plan, price protection, and we didn't pay any sales/dmv taxes or fees in Delaware, because Delaware only charges a fee on the difference between trade-in and new vehicle sales price.

Made out pretty well on the 2022, with two tax credits, two Delaware EV credits, and two Ford Options incentives.

I broke even after tax credit on my FE. Exactly what I paid for it with tax, etc...minus tax credit. Tax credit is cash to me so cash is cash....

Interesting compred to my experience this week. Of the dealers listed above, I’ve only gotten a quote that exceeded KBB price for MY 21 Select AWD (less than 20k miles) from Driveway. Everyone else & the dealer that sold me my MY22 offered close to the KBB (44K), less than Driveway’s offer (51K).

I’m in California (no trade in tax bonus), and I think I’ll take the Driveway offer at this point.

Got quotes for my < 5000miles 2022 GTPE from vroom, driveway and car max. Almost all are 10-12k below the msrp of the car before the 2023 price hike.

Seems to me like the used car market for EVs is back to normal. Or it could be that people are just avoiding Mach Es.

Are the lower prices now just a trend in the used car market or is this also specific to the MME and influenced by the HVBJB issue?

That's odd, it might be your area. I'm still getting about MSRP offers for my Select with Tech package.
