I've had my '21 GTPE over 2.5 years now and was curious if any other owners have any opinions on their next vehicle, will you go for a newer mach e with the latest software and slightly better efficiency, or are you thinking about looking elsewhere? At 3 years the basic warranty is done along with free trials on a lot of the tech features. I think the depreciation is greater than other similarly priced vehicles. Just curious on others opinions on this.

As an owner of two of these bad boys job 1 2021’s I am going to run these boys till the wheels fall off. Then I plan to get a new one for me and wherever Ford does with the electric explorer for her.

I had a 2021, bought the car we ordered in 2021 that ended up being a 2022 and sold the 2021.

Today, I would not buy one. Ford has to show me their ability to successfully update BlueCruise, change their subscription renewal prices to something more reasonable, show me that the HVBJB issue is really solved, and show me that they are improving their service network. 3 years in, I am not of a favorable mindset.

My neighbors got 2019 Tesla, and another one sitting in the driveway today, and I said someone visiting you or is that yours? he said that’s mine, They had such a great deal I couldn’t pass it up so I bought it lol. I guess it’s a model y . He paid 55,000 for it. He said he got something like $10,500 credit and he works for the power company and they gave him $2500 in his check!

Got my 2023.5 CR1 in Sept '23. I was literally going to sign paperwork to buy an Edge, but test drove the MME on the way in to the showroom on the suggestion of the salesperson. I was hooked!

Almost went to a buyback in March '24 due to parts not being available for a repair. MME sat in the shop for 12 weeks.

Even with that episode, I LOVE THIS CAR!
Almost 11,000 miles currently, 9 months of ownership, 6 months of actual operating time.

I tried to convince my wife to get her own MME when the prices dropped earlier this year. Where we live, gas prices are high and electricity prices are low. I love the performance, the tech, the ride, and the quiet. My wife doesn't want to give up her almost new Highlander with seating for 8 and lots of room for shuttling kids, friends, and soccer gear all over Western WA. She also isn't ready to deal with DCFC, range anxiety, and worrying about the effects of cold weather, etc. She enjoys the familiar and predictable reliability of her Toyota ICE.

So yes, I would buy another MME now, and when the time comes, I will absolutely look to see what the MME has turned into and consider buying another, as long as the current experience can stay positive.

If there is ever a need to replace the Highlander, I will also try to swing the wife to a BEV, depending on what's available at that time.

When my kids start driving, used MME's will be a dime-a-dozen, especially if current price trends continue, so I will steer them towards older MME's (or similar) when that time comes. My boy specifically is crazy about the MME and talks about getting his own....in 5 more years...

With all of that being said, I still feel like I want an ICE vehicle/pickup truck to have for the specific times that one is required, or if the BEV/MME is out of commission and stuck waiting for parts or a qualified tech to fix it. My truck is 23 years old and still competently tows our family travel trailer. A long bed truck is also able to do errands that an MME can't. I will keep that truck running and maintained as long as possible, hopefully as long as I am able to drive.

I bought my GT in March and it is decided that as my previous car, my next EV will be a Tesla. Traditional manufacturers have their head up their a$$es building EVs. "lets put in a battery and an electric motor
and we are done" is not how is done.

At 10 months and over 20,000 miles in on my 2023 CR1, I adore it as much as I did on day 1. Sure depreciation is a bit rough, but that's true of all EVs right now, and I already took a hit offloading one EV that was not able to meet my use case. I hope to keep this one at least 5 years, if not the full 10 I aim for with the cars I've loved most. Who knows what the best car for me will be by then. But if Ford makes a mischievous purple Mustang Mach-E, I will have to reassess my plans.

Since my First Edition has been totaled, I am seriously considering Rally in a few months.

Yeah I feel the same way about the job1 Maverick I purchased. I guess we both learned a lesson just on different vehicles.

Depends on your needs and wants in a car. Personally I would be looking for something with a better charge curve. Maybe a Hyundai? I haven't shopped around because I plan on keeping my GT for 5-7 years.

Some states do that, MN has a $2500 rebate on lease or purchase. Ford is offering the $7500 on leases. So you could get $10k off here
