I've had the GT for 3 months now and still don't understand the appeal of the all glass roof.?‍♂
This is something that bothers me on mine - like, I don't sit there and look up out of the top of my car. But when I watch reviews a lot of the reviewers rave about the large glass roofs - and I don't get it. I'd much rather have a) a full steel roof that would likely be lighter or b) if I'm going to add the weight of the glass, make it a functional sunroof.

kept my 2021...3 year ford options ended just before all the new price reductions came out, otherwise would've considered upgrading from my rear std to rear extended battery. but other than that, no other features i really want. and no other current EVs in the same price range that i felt was worth going after...the mach-e looks better than all of them, performs decently.

hoping the next revision brings 800v platform for faster charging, longer range batteries and revised suspension and i'd consider it as replacement for this one.... or else i'll probably consider a volvo or polestar. would consider a hyundai/kia but their styling is just a bit too edgy for me.

I think we are likely to get another. We are currently on a 3 year Options "lease" so thankfully depreciation isn't a concern and this one will likely be going back in September 2025.

It has been a great vehicle, zero issues aside from a slight rattle at 40-45MPH that I seem to have resolved myself. PaaK works well enough, power and range has been great.

The biggest thing that would have gotten us out of it would have been a US Explorer EV, but now that is pushed back too far. I think our future will either be another MME or maybe looking at a KIA EV9. I don't really want a KIA, but we really need a larger vehicle. We use the F-150 as the larger vehicle for most long road trips, but we also have two dogs and if we had to take them further than we do now while also having us and the two kids, neither of these vehicles is great.

I had really hoped Ford would have the Explorer out in 2025 and it would have been an easy sale, now I am not so sure.

The 2024 updates to the MachE seem to resolve a lot of the main concerns from the early adopters, the question comes down to what the next year of support from Ford looks like.

Ive got my eye on a GT. But I just bought mine in Nov 23. I bought it as a lease so I dont have to be tied into the car unless I want to. I figure in 3 years there might be a whole new set of options. But if they keep improving the MME line it will be at the top of my list. I just dont like how Tesla's look or drive. My wife has one. I love the features but the MME is SO much nicer on the day to day drive. Ive also test drove the IONIC, ID.4 and the Ariya and none of them really compared to the MME as far as feel of the drive and overall design inside and out. I thought the Toyota EV was going to be nicer and the BMW is just god awful ugly IMO. We shall see what happens in 2027 :D

The glass roof was an option that came with my CR1 package. The roof has had to be replaced twice due to rock chips resulting in cracks. Never again will I get a big panoramic glass roof.

The improvements to the 2024’s have removed almost all of the deal breakers between me and a new MME.

The only remaining one is the lack of a magnaRide option for the premiums.. Hate the suspension in my 2021. The other differences between the Premiums and GT’s just dont justify the extra cost To me.

Glass roof is the one thing I wish my Premium did not have. I considered a Select just because of the fact that it did not have a glass roof, but the other options that come on the Premium out-weighed the glass roof for me.

I got my 23 GT in March of this year. I love the car but due to my poor experience with Ford, this will be my last Ford vehicle. The relationship between dealers and Ford is bad. The customer service at Ford is horrible. Finally Ford has major quality control issues with their vehicles. I recognize that people complaining about their vehicles is higher than people talking about how they like their vehicles. Without that component all you need to do is look at the number of major recalls in the last 2-3 years with Ford vehicles. There’s always recalls but look at how many are major component failures and how Ford handles customers with those issues…it’s bad.

Funny thing, that, or I would not be looking at one ?
Had I not put that comment, some would have said "I will buy it too" not realizing that this vehicle will never be sold in the US.

I've had my '21 GTPE over 2.5 years now and was curious if any other owners have any opinions on their next vehicle, will you go for a newer mach e with the latest software and slightly better efficiency, or are you thinking about looking elsewhere? At 3 years the basic warranty is done along with free trials on a lot of the tech features. I think the depreciation is greater than other similarly priced vehicles. Just curious on others opinions on this.
I’ve had my second one since February unless something earth shattering develops I’ll keep it for a while and rethink.

I am waiting to see what the next generation of the Mach-E offers - if there is another generation. I'm in no hurry, whatsoever, to replace mine - but I will also explore the EV market as it stands when the time comes and will consider other options, just as I did before I got the Mach E.

They did change the suspension in the Premiums after 2022.5. It's less bouncy now. Still not a good as MagneRide but I'd recommend you test drive a new Premium to see if it's improved enough.

I am waiting until the V2 Mustang Mach-E before I decide. I love my car, but I’m annoyed at the continual decontenting Ford has done (eliminating the adjustable headrests is now descending into the realm of spite - I can hear some Ford product planner cackling “our customers are so stupid, they won’t notice, and I’ll have shaved $0.02 off the vehicle production cost and be up for a huge raise!”). If the V2 vehicle turns out to be a cost-minimized econobox (an e-Fiesta or something), Ford will drive me to another maker (right now, that’s looking to be BMW and the BMW has serious deficiencies).
If I win the lottery, I might grudgingly consider an F-150 Lightning Platinum, even though I think they’re big and stupid. At least they have a frunk and ventilated seats ?

I hear you on the headrests. Our 2022 Lightning has non-movable headrests. My wife has long legs and a shorter upper body, and it pushes her head forward and is very uncomfortable. The solution for her was to remove it and reverse it. Someday I should look for an articulating headrest from a junker.

It was eliminated across many Ford models. Stupid.
