Retired. I'd say it was a mid life crisis, but not many people live to 140.

FordPass tells me 8.7-8.8 kW using 40A Grizzl-E.

That sounds about right, figuring in normal losses.

Trying to say how many miles/hour you get seems odd to me because there are too many variables.

Not sure. I'll have to check. Thanks
Assuming you’re on a 60a circuit but are using a nema 14-50 plug, the charger output should be set to 40a. That should give you approx 30 miles per hour (9 kWh charging speed).

Sorry, not sure what 14-50 plug is but I'm getting 10 kwh. But that's adding 20 miles per hour.

At EPA-rated efficiency, 10 kWh should yield 31 miles.

Not sure what I was looking at but the app says 32 miles were added so that's all consistent. I have to see why I'm getting only 10kwh instead of 11.

I know this is an old thread but just came across it. I'm using the Tesla universal wall connector and getting only about 20 miles per hour and it's a 60 amp breaker. Sigh.
Miles per hour is not an appropriate metric for charging speed. Your "miles" will vary tremendously depending on recent driving habits, weather, and other factors.

Charging speed is measured in kW.

Nope. That would be 10kW.

Alternatively it would be 10kWh/h but the hours cancel out.

I average about 2.5 mi/KWh (which varies with temperature, driving style, speed, traffic, phase of the moon, etc.) and my 32A EVSE has a rate of ~7KW. That is equivalent to 17 mi/hr of charge, but you cannot count on that. Just like a gasoline car, you should only be concerning yourself with the volume of fuel going in and coming out. If things are giving you bad fuel economy and you don’t like that, do something about it (drive slower, accelerate less quickly, back out of the throttle sooner, etc.). ā€œMiles per hour charge rateā€ has got to be one of the most bogus fake statistics there is since there are so many variables associated with calculating it. ??

With losses, you’ll never net much more than 10 KW.
