Auto Door Locking

I was curious when the doors actually auto-lock when driving, so tried a little experiment today. You can actually reach out through the open window and open the door with the exterior button up to speeds about 14MPH. I didn't try it at that speed, luckily. I only tried it going much slower. Notwithstanding, its a bit weird that the doors don't auto lock at much lower speeds. I would think 5MPH is safe. Or, once you put it in D? Mostly, I was thinking about all the BS car-jacking videos you see, and the safety of my family. Granted, someone would have to be able to figure out the button to open the door lol, but still, I would like to see them auto lock much sooner. Thoughts?

The manual indicates they lock when speeds are greater than 12 mph. So your experiment was pretty close. BTW, you can hear the lock pins move in the doors when the autolock occurs. It's much quieter than on prior vehicles, but the sound is still there.
